Michael Blake is attempting to run as a Mamdani-like challenger to Ritchie Torres, but the only difference between Blake and Torres is Blake’s newly adopted support of Palestine. Otherwise, as fellow challenger Dalourny Nemorin points out, Blake doesn’t seem very progressive.

And not just because it is very important that Torres be replaced, but also because we’re going to see how each of the candidates handles the barrage of smears, lies and bad faith attacks that will come from every direction (including the establishment of the Democratic Party and their allies in the media.) It’s already started! Yesterday, Hasbara Queen Noa Tishby smeared candidate Michael Blake as soon as he entered the race. I am very interested to see who shows the strength and fearlessness that I know everyone is so hungry for.
