I built a free iPhone app that lets you add emojis while typing on your Mac. It’s the cherry on top of switching between apps, launching Apple Shortcuts, and opening websites, and it makes using my Mac so much more fun. This took a lot of hard work to... show more

I’ve never really used Apple Shortcuts on Mac because triggering them never felt natural enough in my workflow. So I built a free app that lets you launch Apple Shortcuts, apps and websites on your Mac with a quick tap on the device that’s probably sitting next to you anyway. It’s called choclift, and it’s probably the sweetest app you’ll try today.

Open Mac apps on your iPhone with my new app choclift 🍫 After extending my Mac screen with Vision Pro, I wanted even more connectivity between devices so I explored the advantage of having a separate user interface just for app management. It seems simple but it actually allows for a lot of new workflows and use-cases as you might think. Everyone works differently so we’re building this app as a platform that will support many different workflows, beyond just opening apps. Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks.

I just built a giant chocolate (touch) bar for your Mac…that runs on your iPad. Open your recent and favorite apps with a tap. Dismiss or maximize them with a swipe. Open websites, trigger Apple Shortcuts, copy & paste with another swipe and send emojis while you type. Enter choclift for iPad. Available for free on the App Store now.

I just launched a free App that lets you open Mac Apps…from your iPhone. And close them with a swipe. A much faster drag and drop. And a ton of more features in the pipeline. It’s called choclift and you really should try it out. Available for free in the App Store for iOS and macOS.

Using gestures on your iPhone to copy, paste, and control apps on your Mac is pure ecosystem magic. My free app lets you switch between your favorite Mac apps with just a touch, minimize and maximize them with a swipe, and even use a grab-and-throw gesture to copy and paste. choclift is now available with a big update on the App Store for iOS and macOS.

I’ve created a way to use your iPhone to travel through time and apps on your Mac. It features a liquid glass timeline that lets you jump between recently opened apps on your Mac and updates in real-time. You can even pin apps to the front of the timeline to create the perfect app launcher combination for your current workflow.

while we don’t know for sure if the iPhone mirroring feature will come to the Apple Vision Pro, I sure hope it does. for now, it's available on Mac—i tested it and it's amazing! here’s how you can experience it on your Mac today: 1. make sure both your iPhone and Mac are running the latest beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. 2. position your iPhone near your Mac. 3. an icon titled "iPhone Mirroring" will appear on your Mac's Dock. 4. select the "Continue" button on your Mac. 5. unlock your iPhone when prompted. 6. on your Mac, click the "Get Started" button. 7. with your iPhone locked, open the "iPhone Mirroring" app on your Mac. this feature is a game-changer, and i can’t wait for the day it hopefully comes to the Vision Pro!

Apple just announced Apple Upgrade, a new program that lets you lease an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch. Details in the video below. For some reason, leasing a laptop feels so much weirder to me than leasing a phone but I bet a lot of people will do it.

My new Vision Pro app lets you switch between apps on your Mac… just by touching your desk. Bringing choclift to visionOS changed how I think about using a Mac in spatial computing. It’s not just about having a massive display – it opens up entirely new productivity workflows. Best part: if you lock it to your desk, it’s always there when you use Mac Virtual Display – even after restarting the device.

Introducing Rork Companion Mac app Until now, if you wanted to build  apps with Swift, you had to install 30GB of Xcode, struggle with certificates, TestFlight, and pay $120 to test on your iPhone Rork Companion solves all of it with a Mac app that can install up to 3 iOS apps on your phone, no $99 Apple Developer account needed P.S. You still need an Apple Developer account to publish to the App Store

We're having a lot (A LOT!!) of people switching to Omarchy from Mac and Windows right now. Here's some sympathy expressed by yours truly on how hard it can be to break habits, but also how rewarding it is if you push through. Stick with it!

You can now pin a dock of your recently opened Mac apps right on your desk and switch between them with a single tap when using Mac Virtual Display on Vision Pro. It updates automatically so you always have a direct shortcut to the apps you’re currently working with. You can even pin your favourites to the front of the line to create your perfect setup. It‘s called App Time Travel, and it's one of the headline features in the big new choclift for Vision Pro update, available today.

😕 Typing effects in product videos usually mean extra motion graphics in post. Pain. So I built a Mac app with Manus: Typewriter. It types one character at a time—instant typewriter effect. Record with Screen Studio and you get: → the frame follows your cursor → nonstop on-screen typing → basically no tedious post work

Built a mac app this week using the new Conductor API that just came out. If you use Conductor you may like it. It's called Whistle, and it's for those quick ideas you have on a project. It's a tray app, you click it, you start talking or typing an idea that just came to mind you want Conductor to work on for a bit. Then move on with your day, next time you open up Conductor it's done the research, prepped a doc, and you are ready to go. Hope you like.

This is the Siri update Apple never shipped 🤯 Lemon just launched a "Voice-to-Action" engine that instead of just transcribing your voice, it actually uses your computer to complete tasks. → 5x faster than typing → Works on every Mac app → Free to use option
