Never underestimate the speed at which visionOS is evolving. Just three weeks later, with the latest beta, the Logitech Muse now supports almost any app and can be used for input across the entire system. I tested it with my favorite drawing app, TouchDesk, and it’s incredibly smooth – it feels just like using an Apple Pencil since you don’t even have to press a button to draw. You just touch the desk. There’s no lag, and it even provides subtle haptic feedback while drawing. The last time I reviewed it, I wasn’t entirely sure I could recommend it, but with the new system-wide support coming to visionOS, I think it’s now a must-have for every Vision Pro enthusiast.

Super Smash Bros. 64, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Not an emulator. BrawlerPad is built on BattleShip, which already supplied the SSB64 source-port core, Apple Metal path, and SDL controller/audio stack. BattleShip ran on Apple Silicon macOS and Android. There had never been a public iOS or iPadOS port. Now there is. The game logic is compiled into a native ARM64 app and runs through BattleShip/libultraship’s Metal/Fast3D path. No N64 hardware is simulated, and no ROM is interpreted at runtime. Smash deserves a controller, so BrawlerPad supports physical controllers through the same input path as the game. Touch works too. The award for the app with the worst Apple Pencil experience has to go to Notability. Truly the worst notetaking app you can waste your money on. They built their own custom drawing system instead of using PencilKit out of the gate leading to the worst implementation of writing with Apple Pencil ever. Here’s a video of me trying to take notes with the new iPad Air + Apple Pencil Pro and I can’t get more than 5 words before it either erases a previous stroke or letter or glitches out and connects multiple strokes leading to a mess. 0/10 would not recommend. An absolute waste of money for a horrible, frustrating experience

If you're new to apps, you need to use XcodeBuildMCP. It takes all the rough edges out of working with Codex or Claude Code and Xcode. Your agent can build and run your app, and even check the UI to see if it looks good via Apple Accessibility APIs.

After a whole day of work made the inventory system with the ability to pickup and drop items. It was very boring and tiresome, but it was needed. With it I made a screen message system. You can also now interact with the rifle even when you are aiming and inspect items.

How I have Claude automate anything I do on my computer just by showing it: I use the free Clips app and hit record to start recording. Then I just do the action - like navigating to Rippling and approving any unapproved time off - and I’ll often just talk out loud as I do it explaining any add’l details like I would when showing a human. The Clips app captures everything on your screen and everything you say, and transforms it into a format Claude can “see and hear”. You'll then get a link that you can easily share with Claude (or humans too). I’ll paste it to Claude and say something like, "automate this for me every day at 8:00 AM." The link has special metadata that agents like Claude can discover. It exposes APIs to see the full transcript with timestamps and grab screenshots of what was on your screen at any of those timestamps. Once it's created the routine, you can go to the Routines tab in Claude Code desktop app. This also works with the CLI, Claude Cowork, Codex etc. You’ll see your new routine there, and you can just hit Run Now to have it start running it. Video attached shows this step by step. The Clips apps is free and open source - I’ll link to it and the source code in the thread.

ITZY - Imaginary friend + Mr. Vampire (horror Christmas) I love ITZY, and it's so good to see all five of them together again. The performance of *Imaginary Friend* was incredible; this song is amazing (one of the best of the year), and with this performance, it got even better. It's no surprise that ITZY is one of the best, if not the best, performing group of the 4th gen.

I've been building a music player with Next.js for fun. Here's a quick demo of how it works (it's open source!) • Demo: • Code: If you want to learn more about how it's built, here's more details ↓ I'm using Postgres (with Drizzle) to store information about the songs and playlists. Audio and image files are stored in Vercel Blob (object storage), and the URLs are then referenced in the database. For the UI, I'm using shadcn/ui (so Tailwind CSS and Radix). This made it easy to copy/paste in some nice components, like the dropdown menus. I built the entire first version of the UI in v0 and then iterated from there, feeding it my Drizzle schema as a source in the project and having it scaffold some of the boilerplate for me: I added support for keyboard navigation (using arrow keys) or vim motions (j/k to go up/down, and h/l to go between playlists and tracks). Also, space to toggle the now playing song, and / to focus the search input. The search function has a nice utility to highlight the currently searched text on the page in yellow. Then, I was exploring how to pass metadata from my application to macOS or iOS. Turns out there's an API for that – MediaSession. Web apps can share metadata about what media is playing (title, artist, album artwork) and sync play/pause/seek with system media controls. Works across modern browsers — even integrates with iOS dynamic island and shows up on lock screens: I set up my app like a PWA – it has a manifest.json file, so it can be installed to my iOS home screen or added to my dock on macOS. On iOS, it then uses the full screen height `100dvh` (dynamic viewport) and has padding on the bottom for the safe area with the `env()` CSS function. Finally, I was able to use the Vercel AI SDK in a script to clean up the metadata on audio files I downloaded from YouTube. Bonus: I even was able to dogfood the React Compiler, which helped me fix a performance bug! That's all! It's fun to make personal software:
