We want to be in the European Union. And I am confident that if some representatives of the EU do not make mistakes, we will be there. We are already strengthening the EU, first and foremost from a security perspective. And today, security is a priority for everyone. A union that could be much stronger – I believe this would be a union of such countries as Norway, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye. These are four countries that the European Union is lacking. Because Türkiye and Ukraine together outmatch Russia’s army: from control of the Black Sea to control of airspace. I know there are questions when it comes to Türkiye. I know that the United Kingdom has left the European Union. I know that Norway has many different forms of cooperation and economic ties with the EU, and so on. But I still believe that these four countries would make the EU the strongest union in the world, with the best security in the world. We are not seeking an alternative. I simply believe that these four countries are very strong and would make the European Union stronger. And even these four countries on their own would certainly form a very strong union. From an interview with the "United News" telethon (3/5).

In an awe-inspiring moment from the fram2’ Fram2 mission, our #Science Cubes MELITE and Space-THAL were captured floating freely in the cupola with the Earth’s polar regions in the background. These scientific studies, led by Malta’s biotech company Spaceomix, are the world’s first to send diabetic foot ulcer tissue and ocular tissue microbiome samples (via our partners at فلك لعلوم وأبحاث الفضاء ) into a polar orbit. We aim to uncover how spaceflight, microgravity, and radiation alter the microbiome and relate to #diabetes complications back on Earth 🌍 In parallel, Space-THAL investigates the effects of #space travel on bone marrow-derived stem cells, cord blood, and peripheral blood, paving new ways to understand blood disorders, #anaemia, and long-duration space missions. 🚀 Enjoy these views of the Artemis II launch from cameras affixed to the rocket! On April 1, 2026, the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket lifted off, sending four astronauts on a test flight around the Moon and back aboard their Orion spacecraft. These cameras, developed by engineers at NASA Marshall, are called the Flight Imaging Launch Monitoring Real-time System (FILMRS). I’m in Brazil for the first time in 10 years, since the Rio Olympics. And tomorrow morning I won’t be contesting for the podium. The hamstring tear I suffered in Tokyo 7 months ago is still healing and I am a long way from where I was then. But I’m excited for this test, to see where my body is at. And I am grateful that World Athletics included me in their pre-race press conference knowing that and asking me instead about what Brazil gave to me 10 years ago. It’s remarkable to think how much I’ve grown and changed in the last decade, and the role my first Olympics played in that. Tomorrow morning (7am Vancouver time on CBC Gem) I’ll hit the streets of Brasilia, and I will give it everything I have. And maybe tomorrow that will be 40th place. But my words from the evening of that fateful 50km 10 years ago will ring soundly in my ear, ‘I left everything I possibly had out there and I can’t ask for anything more than that.’

Day 145, orbit 2248 — Woohoo! 🎉 So happy I got to carry out the checkout and activation of our brand‑new European exercise equipment: the European Enhanced Exploration Exercise Device, or E4D. I know how much effort – and sweat! – the teams have put into the development and ground-testing of this device, and I’m happy to do my part from orbit now! 😅 I love exercising; it’s always been an extremely important part of my daily routine, and it is exciting to add some variety 🚣 to the on-orbit workouts! The E4D is a technology demonstrator: we’ll evaluate its design, operational aspects, and also effectiveness in counteracting the physical deconditioning experienced by astronauts in space. Once we’ve put it through its paces, future versions could find their way on board spacecrafts where the available space (inside 😉) will be even more limited than on the International Space Station. 👏 Congratulations to all the teams who made this possible! The first time in India that a private company has developed an orbital rocket and taken it to the launch site and is going to take off soon. And it's a proud moment for India... very few companies in the world have actually launched a rocket to orbit, and very few companies in the world are operating regular orbital rockets.
