Someone in the comments said if you hold the question mark in your android phone keyboard you may get the interrobang. Not the iphone from what I can tell.

I use the interrobang a lot and, most recently, tried to get the X chat group I'm part of to use it in an effort to convince the Russians and Japanese (ever since the translation became automatic) that it's prevalent in USA English and, therefore, cementing it's use for all time LOL I only do it on my phone though! 🤣

1. Some of these are self-explanatory but not all of them, what are they for? 2. None of these are useful without widespread knowledge of them and they’re meanings 3. Even with widespread knowledge of them, very few people will use them if they’re not added to the keyboard

Bro, this basically solves the context problem with text, and none of us knew about these 😭 the only one I knew about was the interrobang.

Thee interrobang is my favorite puncuation mark; hell i didn't know about it til i went down the hellscape of a rabbit hole of ... Character Sets in Programming (from old ANSI to Unicodes) about 6-7 years ago. Ain't that some bullshit‽ 😁😂🤣

There is a good reason we don’t use hieroglyphics, emoji notwithstanding. Exclamation points are vastly overused. If I am both surprised by, and questioning of, a fact, this punctuation abomination ?! will illicit zero additional reaction from me, besides irritation.

The interrobang is very useful, and should become a full standard mark, but has probably become a standard anyway by the use of a normal question mark then exclamation mark, hasn’t it?!
