maybe i have been using my keyboard wrong all this time

Favorite quotes from this stream... "omg I do have a shift key on the other side... ... ... THERE ARE TWO SHIFT KEYS? ...you're joking." "there ARE bumps on the F and J key!"

It's okay, Michi. Your job is to be funny, not to use a keyboard... right...?

AHAHAHAH it's always funny to see people find out about the easiest shortcuts XD Another one is "ctrl + arrowkeys to quickly move the text cursor between words" btw, can also be combined with shift to select said words

When did this patch drop?

You're not the only one..

WHAAAAAAAAT

If it makes you feel any better, I also didn’t know and probably a lot of other people as well.

I didn't know this either nor do I use shift 😭

I will be honest. I was poking fun at her for 90% of all this, but I have written THOUSANDS of professional emails an hundreds of papers and didn't know about CTRL + Backspace, I always did CTRL+SHIFT+Arrow Key.

Oh michi you silly bean you

Tbf i didn’t know that either ☹️

Never too old to learn new things

Another big thing I'm realizing is she was talking about moving your hand a round the keyboard being a hassle. So in this image it's a full 100% keyboard (Keychron V6). I forget everyone doesn't have giant monster hands.

ctrl + backspace will however sometimes spawn in a square box instead lol

CTRL + Left/Right Arrow to jump the typing cursor around words.

GIRL WHAT I HAD NO IDEA EITHER WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT

Is that how I find out about this???😭

Ya, Ctrl+Backspace is great. I've always known about it, but rarely used it till recently. You can also use Ctrl+Arrow Keys to navigate whole words at a time. Less time reaching for the mouse.

We are learning

I... did not know that one either

Yeah or ctrl+shit+[<-] (will select the word or as many words as you hit the arrow key) and then just type the new word or sentence...🤷‍♂️

I had no idea this was a thing either.

just learned that too 😭

y-you didn't know?

I never realized that shortcut...but then again I rarely delete an entire word at once

I just learned something new, thank you Michi 💜

One of my teachers in high school taught us that and I was blown away, literally never turned back

Holy shit I didn't know that seriously

WHUTTT

huh, ive just learned something today! i will not retain this info though. i type real weird so it wont be relevant😅
