It's been 53 years since this went to #1. I didn't know how that's possible since I'm only 38. 😂 This is a very unique clip. You probably wouldn't notice this unless I pointed it out. I just hit 100k subscribers on YouTube and I'm stoked. Which is why I've decided to give this whole content creation thing a real shot. Starting today, I am going to stream consistently on Twitch and regularly upload to my channel. A little back story on how I got here. Before I created content I suffered from clinical depression after having my thyroid removed due to cancer. I would escape by watching streams and gaming videos to relax. One day I decided to just give it a shot. So I hooked up my computer and talked into a very cheap mic and started streaming. It went terribly, but honestly... I was thrilled. Then I took some of that footage and edited it down like I did with skate videos to some random song that reminded me of a model runway. Took forever to get done on my free time. I got one encouraging comment... And I was absolutely thrilled. These days I get comments from people who tell me what they're struggling through and how my videos helped them forget about it for an hour. And every time that happens, I'm reminded of why I do this. To pay back for all the times I was entertained when I was having a hard time. It seems so dumb, but man... I can't tell you what a stupid little video or silly stream can do for someone having a really hard time. I'm not sure if this is going to work... But I'm going to give it a try. Even if I fail, I'm not going to stop creating. I got exciting plans for the future but this is the first step. Where it takes me... I'm not sure. I hope you all come along. Regardless. Thanks to all of you for supporting me and helping me out. I never thought I'd hit 100k or have any type of following. Not in a million years. I am grateful and appreciative. Here's to what comes next I guess. Tea is life. ☕️

What it’s like to receive a job offer directly from Satya Nadella. Kelsey Hightower, former Google Distinguished Engineer, on the Microsoft offer that revealed a pay tier he didn't know existed: “I got this email from Satya, the CEO of Microsoft. He wrote this nice email: 'Kelsey, heard you had a good experience with the team' - remember I did the interview at the Microsoft headquarters - “heard really good things from the team, just wanted to let you know, you're going to be respected here. We're going to support you as a team.” I'm like, damn, support as a team? Coming from the CEO? So, number one, what an honor. This is the CEO of Microsoft. He has so many more important things to be doing than to be emailing me about a role. I opened the PDF - not very often in your career does a zero get added to the equation. And so you're looking at this like, I didn't even know that they do that. We know that it happens. But the person that graduated from high school in 1999, that chose the A+ Certification didn't know that was available. Even while I was at Google having all the success. Google paid me pretty well too, but I didn't know you can add another zero still. And I'm like, wow. I showed my wife and she was the one that said you should just go interview, like put your ego to the side and let's go see what's out there, so shout out to my wife. And so I get the PDF, and I'm like, okay, this number is perfect. Honestly, I don't know what to say, but let’s just find out, is this really the only number? I've completely lost my mind. Cooked doesn't describe my mental state. I woke up today and immediately unlocked my phone, opened Google Chrome, and then started gambling my unstaked SHFL. And I just dusted off an insane amount of money for a minute of excitement. I am extremely numb to this by now. I am tired of being the posterboy of compulsive gambling. I'm far too addicted. I can't do it anymore. I don't even know what I'm after. I've realized that I will never be able to gamble responsibly. Not in my 20s, 30s, not when I'm in my 40s, not even several decades from now. And for that reason I am going to quit gambling permanently. Thanks for being a part of my wild ride
