Google's NotebookLM is truly the best AI second brain. You can easily learn, memorize, generate new ideas, and more. Give it the knowledge files you want and: - Ask any question - Create new summaries or other content - Generate an ultra-realistic podcast to learn - Add notes on the fly to expand the info available There's virtually no limit to the number of things you can feed it: the context window is huge (1M tokens?). Unlike other tools, you can use only the information you already trust. This makes the answers much more relevant, and with far fewer hallucinations. As a reminder, it's completely free to use. So it's definitely worth a try if you haven't already.

If You are looking for expensive hotkey controller for artists STOP, there is better and cheaper way and I will show You how! The only functionality we need while drawing is fast and direct access to the shortcuts, especially in Photoshop. On the web You can find many different brands which are selling really expensive shortcut devices but they are not comfortable to use, especially while I am drawing on couch, so I tried to find a better way, it was not hard and in the end it was a lot cheaper to set up everything! You can just use simple gamepad/controller. Anything will work - You can even use Switch controller if You know how to connect it to the PC. From my testing 8BitDo Lite 2 is perfect for the job. Its really small with a lot of hardware buttons for shortcuts, and it costs currently around 30USD! I don't know if there is something similar in this form factor but really You can use anything You have in Your house, I even tested PS4 controller but it was not comfortable to use. To setup shortcuts I am using JoyToKey, simple shareware software (support them if it will suit Your needs :)) which allows to set any shortcut on any controller, it even allows to create macros so it's really powerful if You want to play with it a bit. Anyway, this way You will have cheap, small and really useful shortcut pad which will work with anything. Hope it will help!

I vibe coded an application with Gemini 3 that let's you pick up a pencil and actually start drawing on a piece of paper. The assets are 3D which adds another layer of immersion just purely for fun. Try it here You can't start drawing until you literally click on the pencil to pick it up. You can also switch to a marker or use the eraser on the pencil. If you don't like the drawing you can crumple the paper and throw it in the trash. It will then place a new piece of paper on the table and you have to pick up the pencil again to start drawing again. I added a learn section on the app that links to youtube channels where you can also learn how to draw. It's quite fun to use, it's basically like using a super simplified version of photoshop or paint. It works with a wacom tablet, just can't seem to figure out how to get pressure sensitivity enabled.

🔌Today I created a virtual web-based null modem so now you can finally play Quake 1 (from 1996) in multiplayer in the browser with other people online! This week I was able to create a virtual printer that listens on the COM2 port to make a web-based printer work in Windows 3.11, like on you can actually print to, it was one of my ideas when I started but it was always too difficult to make, I had no idea where to start, but this week AI was able to do it! Today I woke up and thought "if we can listen to COM2 via JS, how about listen to COM1 from Quake 1?" then we could forward the COM1 data via Websockets and to another user to create a virtual null modem (A null modem was a cable you'd use to connect two computers to each other directly in the 90s, if you couldn't afford buying a network card you'd use this to network, but you could only play with one other computer not multiple) So I built it, it took about an hour and works! I wanted to get Quake 1 in DOS to work with multiplayer for 2 years but I could never get it to work, but now it did it This project is a good benchmark of how capable AI is becoming, figuring stuff out that humans would take months within an hour You can try it here, I don't know how it will match lots of people but let's see, you have to exit to DOS first (ALT-F4 or FN-Option-F4 on Mac), then type CD games, then CD quake, then quake, then ESC, then Multiplayer, then either Create New Game or Join Game, and use Direct Connect, keep settings same and you're in!

It's an app that works with every other macOS application and uses Claude Sonet 3.5 in the background—it also supports Gemini and GPT-4o. Here is the idea: You can use the tool to ask questions about anything on your screen. Or you can use it to autocomplete the text you are typing. Here is how you turn a #GaussianSplatting into a walkable world with 2 clicks. First of all, do yourself a favour and try out PostShot. The splat you see was created from a 3-minute video taken with my phone. It ran for around 12 hours on a laptop with a 3060, and the output was beyond my expectations! That being said, whatever tool or app you use to create your Splat, you can import it directly into arrival.space from there you can: - Clean it up and compress it thanks to the direct integration with Supersplat Editor - Generate a rough mesh (that you can export with a paid plan and adjust in Blender ) - Explore it freely on the #web or in #VR Make sure to drop your Space in the comments. Would love to see it!

Another weekend project: GridStore Jean Cavallera and I are building simple but useful dApps that make LUKSO more accessible and easier to use. This is GridStore, an “app store” for Grid templates. I can't stop thinking about this... Michael Caine on his defining philosophy on life: Use the Difficulty As a young actor, he was rehearsing a play scene when a chair got stuck in the door and blocked his path. 💾 Made a DOS-style text-based user interface (TUI) today First app I made is Notepad (or should it be called EDIT.EXE?) and you can type in it and it has a localStorage-based file system with folders and everything! I wanted to create a BIOS for but it became this :D I really like these TUI interfaces, sometimes you still see them in shops or supermarkets when you pay Maybe I should make a whole SaaS biz with this interface?
