I checked the “sessions” folder and found that this bug has been occurring since 9:00 a.m. JST on July 22. Prior to that, only JSONL files smaller than 10 MB (almost all <1MB) were created. It is now possible to share a JSONL file that exceeds 1 GB.

I’m grateful for all the attention this has received while I was asleep. To cut to the chase, this was a Codex CLI bug caused by several reported but unresolved issues that had existed since before June. In cases such as context compaction and sub-agent creation, the JSONL implementation was causing full copies of the session to be duplicated. On GitHub, some users reported that this consumed over 400GB of storage. While I was getting three hours of sleep, Codex implemented the fix and rolled it out as a temporary replacement. I’ve already created a pull request, but unfortunately, pull request permissions for the Codex CLI repository is invitation-only.

@thsottiaux @OpenAI @OpenAIDevs i have also had extreme issues with SSD read/write but then i figured out that 16GB RAM is likely too little for running on macOS at least, and it's making page swap

It’s been half a day since I posted this, and I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a single response from OpenAI—not even a comment on the GitHub issue. I understand that it’s Sunday night in San Francisco and late Monday night there, but isn’t the response too slow given the seriousness of the matter? (This turned out to be caused by a known issue.) I’m just joking, but it makes me wonder if OpenAI has secretly conspired with NAND manufacturers to break consumer SSDs.😂

Farewell to International Space Station! This is truly a special place, special mission, and special team that makes it happen. It is a bittersweet departure today – I have a keen awareness that I may never be back here, and even if I was, it would be at a different time with a different crew. This chapter is over. Spaceflight has always been a life goal, and it has turned into a life-fulfilling endeavor – but not for the reasons I thought growing up. We as a species will never stop wondering what else is out there, and what it would be like to go. What is happening in crypto right now is a resolution of the dislocation between expectations and fair value since the election in November. This is something we discussed and warned on the roundup on November 16th and ever since price has been flat/down and there's no signs of an SBR which is very different vs the expectations that were baked in. It is because of this concern for a potential dislocation that I/we have been on defence ever since the election after being disgustingly bullish in the lead up to it. The good news is this post-election premium is now being unwound, especially in alts. The bad news is this is happening during a time of relative equity strength. As traders, it is crucial to understand that markets are forward looking and you always need to be comparing expectations baked in vs reality, and not headlines on a standalone basis. Anyway. I'm sad to see the state of things right now and hopefully not too many people were carried out here. I do think that now that a lot of this dislocation has been resolved that the worst is over, but that is dependent on a positive macro environment which I'm not sure of. Godspeed. When I saw the mask "Tribes of the Calf" from Kanbas I knew I had to make it into reality. The jewelry and gold really made it stand out for me. Since Sam Spratt's The Masquerade was revealed, I have been spending time sculpting and dissecting the mask to recreate it in 3D as faithfully as possible. I delved into the creation of this mask for many reasons. I love a good challenge and this mask surely was one for me. Creating something in 3D from a 2D image is not easy, and especially when the source has generative nature, some stuff is hard to interpret, but I tried my best to make sure the visual integrity of the mask is as close to the original as possible. Splitting the whole mask into parts, filling the missing pieces so I can build the textures was quite a lot of work. I tried to present the mask in my own style with a slightly different colorway to adapt to the mask itself. Please enjoy this short animation, and turn on sound🔊 This piece is my statement that I am here to stay. That I have a voice that often feels being lost in the void. That I have been creating and posting digital art for over 20 years now and will continue until I'm gone. I have a story to tell and I want to be heard. The space we have here is small, and is shrinking day by day. It doesn't have to be like that. We need to support each other and push ourselves and people here, otherwise we are all doomed. Another school year is in the books ✌️ This is the second year in a row that I’ve worn a different pair of sneakers every single day to teach in. And it’s been something super fun for me and my students. A little twist that I added to it this year was at least one sneaker that I wore each week was a brand new pair that I had never worn before a.k.a. UNDSing a pair each week. This sums up exactly how I feel about the world and crypto right now. THIS IS IT. I’M TELLING YOU. THIS IS IT. I wish I could effectively communicate everything that goes on in my head, it’s something I’ve always struggled with, I can’t get it all out. But I really think this is it, this is the time, this is the inception / crossing of the chasm into the digital age of finance first and later reinforced by AI. The world is being tipped over the edge right now. I’m not a conspiracist, I keep cool as much as I can even when others are larping. But now, could be days weeks months or years (most likely weeks or months), something is coming. I don’t know what the narrative will be, I don’t know exactly what the rhetoric will be. War? Disaster? Cyber attack? Ai? Bond failure? Currency collapse? Idk a combo of these? But the conclusion is QE or equivalent into international financial reform. I genuinely believe it’s that time. For 10 years I’ve been in this space thinking about how the world would look if we moved into a digital age, I always said “ I think it’ll happen at some point”. I think that point is really close, if not now. THIS IS IT!
