Just tested Grok for the first time, and It’s surprisingly solid at coding compared to other AI models. I used it to generate the logic for this web based 3D augmented reality Pong game, and it handled it well. This took a bit of back and forth but still pretty quick.

Got the BVH (AABB tree) working with a nice visualization. (The circles and arrows show the hierarchy of the tree.) This is all CPU-side for now, so next is to ship the BVH to the GPU for accelerating SDF brick baking. It's already in a flat buffer so that is straightforward.

I think it’s about time I hire a packer. It’s getting really difficult to keep up with all the packing. The problem is, I’m kind of stuck right now. I have little ones at home, so I really don’t want someone coming into my garage to work. At the same time, I’m not at the level yet where I can justify leasing a small warehouse. So I’m between a rock and a hard place. For those of you who’ve been through this stage, what did you do? Any ideas to help me speed this up and get by until I’m ready for a small warehouse?

Some updates on the multiview vistadream pipeline with Rerun! Rerun came in extremely useful here, as being able to visualize depths at each stage of the pipeline allowed me to debug some nasty bugs. Since the last time, I was only working with a single image input. I've added in VGGT as my multiview pose + depth estimator. It works REALLY well for getting camera poses, but the depths are not that great. To try and fix that, I estimated depth maps from MoGeV2 for each of the views, and scale+shift aligned them so that they would match up to the confident sections of VGGT's depth predictions. You can see in the video just how much sharper the visualized 2d depth maps are! The biggest issue continues to be the multiview consistency 🫠 That's up next, along with actually training the Gaussian splat. Lots of work went into actually understanding inputs+outputs for VGGT. I had some funky bugs where the confidence values would all collapse to true I'm also really excited for this pipeline to use Difix3D+ Nvidia instead of Flux Inpainting, it seems like a better suited for a multiview pipeline.

I finally got NVIDIA AI Developer's 3D Gaussian Unscented Transforms up and running natively on Windows via gsplat. Just in time for me to make a tutorial so people can enter NVIDIA's 3DGUT sweepstakes!!! Huge thanks to Ruilong Li for responding to my Github issues and solving my roadblocks this evening. #3D #Computervision
