I don't think some people realize how COLOSSAL tornadoes can be. Even from a distance, this F2 tornado in 1998 looked terrifying as it ripped through corn fields and was captured on film by many locals, including the videographer of this iconic footage. 🎥: Andy Warhol #tornado

This is the best tornado video oat in my opinion. For the life of me I can’t find the footage of the Vilonia, AR EF4 over Lake Maumelle. I know it exists and it’s incredibly eerie. I was wondering if you had it or could find it. That would be the second best.

I've looked into this one pretty extensively, I believe only 5 videos of it exist. I also did find a photo, and every public piece of damage media. I definitely believe it was violent, the motion is insane!

That's an F2 tornado? Looks more like an F3 or F4. I know they are categorized by how much they destroy but that tornado looks huge.

The chaos inside of a tornado debris field is unfathomable. Some tornadoes can be so strong and sit in one spot for so long that they shred everything in their path into small pieces. In 2020 when I accidentally shot this tornado in slow-mo at 240 FPS, I originally was a little irritated with myself. However, it's the only 240 FPS piece of footage I have ever shot of a tornado, and it offers a unique and rare look into the chaos of a monster. So much going on inside of the debris field of this tornado near Scarth, MB. This tornado I call the Green Screen tornado. Many people accused me of using a green screen when shooting this video. These days I would be calling it the AI Tornado.

What do you see in this video? Probably the largest tornado of 2025 that I saw. What don't you see? My jaw hitting the floor when I popped out of the rain/hail and saw this monster tornado. A cyclic supercell produced a family of tornadoes from Hyannis to Valentine, Nebraska in late April 2025. Tornadoes ripped through the desolate Nebraska Sandhills for hours and late into the evening. Crazy night! Hardest part of the chase was trying to grind it east to Iowa for the next days chase.

Tragically, 46 people lost their lives on this day with 74 tornadoes confirmed in a single day. Here is the F5 from southwest of Moore. This was just prior to the research indicating overpasses are not a viable shelter from a tornado, as the flow can accelerate through the gap.

Team Dominator chased 4-5 tornadoes on a LONG-TRACK supercell from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri through Kentucky. We also saw the Sikeston, MO #tornado but I was driving the Dominator 3. These are the Kentucky tornadoes. This supercell sadly went on to cause significant damage in Somerset and London, Kentucky including fatalities. 14 fatalities have been reported across southern Kentucky from last night’s #tornado outbreak

I'm gonna go ahead and release this here, as there seems to be some discourse since it was not well documented, as Ben McHone and I were the only chasers with a view of the Kankakee, IL Tornado as it morphed from a stout stovepipe to a large wedge. We were northbound on a road, looking south of the tornado, while most high-profile chasers were to the SW of the tornado at the time. This tornado turned into a rapidly widening tornado and was cloaked by RFD, moving directly into Aroma Park. This tornado spooked me to a degree as I was anticipating it to be moving more NE vs due East. Otherwise, this would have been a very close-range intercept. After this, the tornado became wrapped from our view before blasting east. I'll release a video of the Satellite with an evil El Reno-like Meso here later.

I have spent countless hours driving on interstates and many times I’ve wondered how many times tornadoes have crossed a particular location I’m driving through over the past tens of thousands of years. That thought is usually followed up with imagining myself intercepting a tornado on said interstate. So when I had the rare opportunity of making an up close intercept of this tornado on April 26th, 2024 in Lincoln, Nebraska, I aggressively took it. Even foregoing a stop to turn my 360 camera on in fear I’d botch up this rare feat.

While the Wellfleet Nebraska tornado of 2025 had many extremely photogenic and memorable moments, perhaps my fondest memory was shortly after saving the semi-truck drivers life by stopping him from driving into the tornado, as the tornado nearly died but roared back to life. While not its most photogenic moment, I was yards away from the vortex, hearing its hiss as it spun the sand of the Nebraska sandhills into a slurry. Watching the video again, I feel like I'm back there, hunkered behind my vehicle to protect me from flying debris or hail. As the tornado came back to life I laughed because I had already spent such a long time dancing with this twister, I couldn't believe the show might go on. And it even got BETTER! This man is in charge of the tornado alarm. Anytime there is a strong tornado approaching, it’s his job to drive up here and manually activate the tornado alarm. You would think they would invest in a safer method of warning people about the impending danger as so many things could go wrong with this method. What happens if he gets blocked or caught by the tornado on the way to sound the alarm. Shouldn’t the controls for this be indoors somewhere?
