I don’t think this interview was well thought through.

We all took a hit for the greater good fighting FF/FG/SF betrayal and the destruction of Irish communities – fuel prices through the roof, contractors going bust left and right. What the fu&k is this restaurant owner whining about? Do they get compensated in France for protests, no I don't think so? His 50% drop is nothing compared to the thousands of families priced out of housing and the small businesses already wrecked by the very policies they stayed silent on. Man up.

Oh dear, I think there may be an imminent boycott of The French Table.

You’ve probably damaged your business more by this interview, by your lack of sensitivity to the current Irish peoples’ crisis, than the protests could ever have done. Good luck with that!!!

The Irish Farmers & Hauliers and others are collateral damage also!!! You are not alone! Everyone, like yourself, are simply trying to survive!!! The Irish people are asking who will compensate them also! You won’t have any produce to sell in your restaurant if the farmars fall!

If he was genuinely pro-Irish he would have come and fed the protesters. Personally I think he should be left to contemplate his life choices and whether his energy would be put to better use sorting out some of the many problems in his home country.

Definitely nothing to do with people having less disposable income due to the rise in fuel costs etc. definitely not that. Or you are overpriced. 🤷🏻‍♂️.

He says going on Social Media and complaining would destroy his business, people in the town don't want to talk about it, but going on national Media to complain about it is perfectly fine?? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤡🤡🤡

"Compensate," perhaps customers can't afford to dine in your restaurant as disposable income is diverted to luxury fuel items.

Wait a minute... HE'S FRENCH!!! The French are masters of protest. They may not have one a war in Europe since 1859, but they have some sort of mass protest or strike every week it seems. They're famous for it. Jog on, Monsieur.

Was he using Irish meat? Veg from local farmers? If he didn’t have farmers he wouldn’t have LOCAL PRODUCE. He should be standing with them if they are his source of food 🤨

I’ve a small business and we were up the week of the protest. I suspect it’s more to do with people being insecure about their finances. Places like his are always the first to go when the economy tanks
