This is why houses suck today. Putting more nails isn’t going to solve anything, for one nails have zero grip so the tension from the wrong cut board pushing will cause separation and squeaking sooner rather than later. The lags were the best hope this had then he removed them after more nails. What’s the integrity of the wood after 10 nails in a small area have been driven in?

Take a blade… optimized framers don’t have saws. It comes pre measured by a guy who cares as little as this guy. And as a team they turn in countless miss measured shove it in finished products. Also I hopes you put a framer in your foot.
