This guy is saying that the steaks at Costco are "Blade tenderized!" If Costco is doing this, don't you think other stores are doing it too? Do you think this guy works for another store to smear Costco? I need to ask a USDA specialist about this.

Well, I've been eating Prime Costco steaks for 20+ years rare or medium rare. Clearly, I am already dead. There's only one thing to do... continue on eating them rare.

Exactly! 🤣🤣

Bobby Parish has done hundreds of videos at Costco pushing their other products for years. He’s fair and balanced.

Good to know! Why is his handle Aldifind?

I don’t see that handle for his YouTube and Instagram channels. Maybe it’s someone else just posting his Aldi videos. He’s @bobbyparrish on his other media accounts and @flavcity on X.

@BobbyParrish @FlavCity Actually I don’t know if @flavcity is his official account or an imposter.

145-F degrees is the universally accepted temperature for beef that is done "medium" and not "almost well done" as this moron describes it. For people who love their meat done rare to medium rare, blade tenderized could be a problem, but for everyone else it's just fine.

Lmao! 🤣🤣

I have been shopping at Costco for more than 20 years. Not once have I seen blade tenderized meat there

Really? I never checked tbh!

You can see them when the meat is cooking. The juice runs out and looks like worms. Pretty gross to see but harmless. It dries out a roast big time

I’m glad Bobby is stepping up his meat knowledge. No, Bobby doesn’t work for another store, his channel is dedicated to healthy eating. He promotes Costco quite a bit. Costco and Sam’s sell the whole subprimals: ribeye roll, strip loin, etc. They’re cheaper than the steaks per pound and you can cut them like you want. In addition, per this post, they’re not blade tenderized.

TY! Good to know!

He's been doing these Costco and other videos for years.

Really?

Like 11 million subscribers on YouTube.

This guy is on TT and his handle is Aldifind 🤔 He could be smearing!

I wonder!

@HistorianUSA1 Just buy the whole primal cut and have them butcher to your specs or do it yourself

@HistorianUSA1 Good idea! When I move to Texas, I will get my cow from Oklahoma.

I’ll have to look the next time I go to see if all steaks are tenderized this way.

I will check too!

Sorry, it’s true! That’s why I buy the large size skirt & iron steaks, they are not blade tenderized. By law - if blade tenderizers are used they must be noted or if you eat it rare & get sick, can’t complain. In the mood for ribeye, I buy it from local butcher, local farm.

That's awesome!

@RogerBernards His name is Bobby Parrish and he is amazing!! ❤️

@RogerBernards Thank you!

Bobby is just trying for views. If the primal is sliced and the. Run through a clean Jacard. There is no inside/outside problem like there is with hamburger. The outside of the steak was inside of the primal just seconds earlier. No real risk. Ground beef is ground meat that was all outside laying around and who know where else. That is a potential vector. Not Costco blade tenderizing.

Using Sous Vide, you can still safely cook blade tenderized steaks to a rare or medium rare temperature, if this worries you.

Got it! 🔥

No, the others aren't. Most harmful bacteria live on the surface of meat. Blade tenderizing pushes them into the meat, which is why COSTCO says you must cook to 165F (well done). They even do it to Wagyu, which is sublime stupidity. I won't buy their packaged meats.

I understand!

Yes it’s a possibility it could happen. Do you know a USDA specialist? 🤣🤣

I have a good friend who is! 🤣

I love Costco! I buy all my meats and breads there! I don't know about this guy! Maybe he works for Aldi.

Maybe he does! 🤣 Love Costco too!

A true prime does not need to be tenderized. If so, it’s not prime and the cook is clueless

Absolutely right!

I eat costco ribeye extremely rare all the time. Never had a problem.

I have seen this guy, pretty much a clown. If I was Costco, I was kick his ass out for bad mouthing the store that he's getting clicks for.

Costco blade tenderizes to give the illusion the beef is tender. Sam’s Club doesn’t blade tenderize. Even talking to the Sam’s Club butchers here in my area, they are mostly Mexican, never heard of blade tenderizing. It’s the best way to get cheap beef not chewy and people not realize it could be poor beef quality.

Worked in the meat department. The steaks are hand cut then immediately wrapped. This is just false

I tried Costco but I went back to Sam's.

Why are you talking bad about Bobby? He doesn’t work for Cosco, he goes to every supermarket.

I didn't say he works for Costco! Read my post!

So do I! And I buy most of my meat at Costco! And dominantly “Prime” beef! This is alarming!! @Costco

@Costco I'm skeptical. I will check!

No smear campaign. All Costco steaks say blade or machine tenderized on the packaging.

If a fuck fell out of the sky, landed on my face and started to wiggle—I still couldn't give less of one.

@NobodymrRobert That’s Bobby Parrish He’s a food critic

Do you even know what blade tenderized means

@BecauseFlorida1 I think the losers that shop at Costco are nothing more than poorly dressed Scrapes. That place is for LOW CLASS scumbags. Stay poor.

watch buying filet mignon as I've noticed the meat upon cutting it open was "layered". obviously cuts of meat were formed and pressed to form a filet.

Stop believing Costco is some great discount whole saler, that ended with Costco like a decade ago. Most prices are the same, anything cheaper is usually made for costco at a cheaper quality, like outlet stores. That's why I stopped my membership 3 years ago, after 20 years.
“It’s toasted”

*Blade tenderization physically cuts through the tough muscle fibers and connective tissue, making the meat much more tender and easier to chew. *If they're actually injecting chemicals, then I get the concern. But pounding meat with a mallet to tenderize it is basically the same idea — just done by hand instead of a machine. At this point, is there anything left in the world that people won't complain about? *If you want complete control over how your meat is handled, raise your own animal or buy directly from a slaughterhouse or local farmer.... cutting out the middleman entirely....

@NobodymrRobert I have a Costco membership and their steaks are blade tenderized

Interesting.
