That's a small tributary fed by snow melt. Not the main artery of the river. People cannot be this fucking dumb. All the water that has ever existed on this planet, STILL exists on this planet.

Almost all of the water is from snow in the Rocky Mountains — the headwaters are in Colorado’s high country, with the Green River from Wyoming and the San Juan from the San Juan Mountains adding the rest. The whole basin is about two hundred forty-five thousand square miles, but the runoff comes from a small fraction of that — the high-elevation snowpack. That’s why the river is so sensitive to drought: a thin snow year in the Rockies means a thin river everywhere downstream.

There are two Colorado RIVERS. TX has as much water as oil. We can always help. Stop worrying.

96.5% is saltwater in the oceans 2.5% is freshwater Of that freshwater: Roughly 69% is locked in ice caps and glaciers About 30% is groundwater Only a tiny sliver is in lakes, rivers, soil, the atmosphere, and living organisms So while water covers most of the surface, easily usable freshwater is a very small fraction of the total. Earth’s water is constantly moving through the water cycle (evaporation, precipitation, runoff, groundwater flow), but the overall amount stays essentially the same. It’s been like this before we were born. And it will be the same after we are gone.. also too many floods to be running out of water

We need more desalination plants. Then we need to find ways to distribute that water.

It’s due to extremely low run off from basically no snow fro last winter. Colorado had a very low snow fall last winter.

I went more than a month not drinking water... you will find it in almost everything you drink anyway. Many of our foods have plenty of water in them. We can fast for like 40 days and 40 night and more

Hmm maybe where you are, NEAR THE HEADWATERS, the water hasn’t accumulated to service all those people. I’m sure no water enters the river ANYWHERE downstream. 🙄
