. Jeremy Boreing asked me how we can help young men find meaning and purpose. Not philosophically…practically. First, I addressed what we are doing wrong. We are not meeting them where they are, on their terms, and until we do that, they won’t be receptive. Gen-Z is not proactively seeking advice, so we have to bring it to them. Second, we need to acknowledge that certain things in their life ARE hard. Too many in the “older” generations are not acknowledging this and simply telling them to “suck it up.” But…we then need to demonstrate to them that life has always been hard and we need to give them that perspective. How do we do this? Make “rites of passage” great again. Getting your driver’s license (I meet so many young people who simply Uber everywhere and thus never got a license). Making the varsity football team (so many young people gave up on sports during Covid). Asking a girl on a date: face-to-face. You become a “legal” adult on your 18th birthday. But you become an actual adult when you acquire enough life experiences that deem you mature enough to BE an adult and these come through rites of passage. Right now we have a generation of young males trying to “learn” manhood from the manosphere which is the definition of immaturity. A “rite of passage” is about triumphing through and beyond something. The manosphere’s business model is to keep young men stuck. It creates followers, not leaders. Perhaps the most important rite of passage we can provide these young men right now is to leave this nonsense and go on with building their lives on their own terms. Young men need the dirt under their fingernails that comes from REAL life experiences, not the calluses on their fingers that come from constant screen swipes.

I remember the days when Juliet and I used to take the bus from Spanish Town to the University of the West Indies. Many mornings we’d wait on the ‘quarter-million bus’, so called because of how many people were packed into it. It wasn’t always easy, but those experiences shaped who I am today. They grounded me in the everyday realities of the Jamaican people, their hopes, their challenges, and their drive to achieve a better life. These moments are what gave me not only a deep appreciation of the Jamaican struggle but also a strong conviction to create policies that improve lives. That’s why, when I sit with my ministers in Cabinet, the policies we make are not abstract theories, they’re informed by real-life experiences. Yes, we apply technical knowledge and academic expertise, but at the heart of it all is a genuine understanding of what our people need and want for themselves and their children. The approach we take is deliberate and strategic, crafted to benefit Jamaica and rooted in lived experience. Today, we are seeing the results, better infrastructure, stronger institutions, and improved services. This is what good governance looks like. A government that listens. A government that understands. A government that works relentlessly to earn the trust and confidence of the people we serve.

One of the most human videos I have seen in quite some time by the wonderful AB talks. Titled: #ABtalks: “How the People Feel.” Describing so accurately what billions of us are feeling, experiencing. We are doing everything in on power, as individuals to stop this slaughter. This bombardment. This annihilation. We are human. So we are heartbroken as we watch crimes against humanity being played on in our hands. On our screens. Through our phones. I know it is so difficult to hear the cries. The screams of terror. The pictures of death. The sights of people, families and villages destroyed. I know the guilt of putting away your phone when it's too much. I know it. Because I feel it. But now is not the time to look away. Those screams of terror are from real people. Like you and I. Those cries of pain are like families just like our own. We must keep speaking up. Shouting THEIR story. Their plight. That they are telling us through our screens, day after day, month after month. You make think you are one person, and what can you do?! I think that all the time. But we do what they are asking us. Keep their voices alive. Keep their stories heard. And if they don't make it; makes sure the world remembers them and justice is served ✨🕊️

I see acting as a controlled psychosis in a way. You're pretending to be somebody else and having their thoughts 16 hours a day, and moving like them, in their house, in their clothes. It's like having a sister or a roommate check in up here [in my mind] for a little bit. And I'm just very grateful that the people in my life understand that and know that. Sometimes if it gets out of hand, they'll call me by the character name and they'll be like "we need to check in again". But I can't imagine keeping it up all the time because again, you're going to work with hundreds of people and it is your responsibility to be good to them and to help them do their best job. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that Congress is working well. Part of the reason is that the people there don’t reflect the life experiences of the American people. We need people in Congress who understand the struggles so many families are facing, and we need to address the barriers that regular people face when serving. That's why it’s so important to make it easier for women and families to have a voice in Washington.

The corruption in the AMA goes to the very top of their leadership. I know this as a matter of fact because I spoke with the President of the AMA himself, Dr. Bobby Mukkamala! Along with Brad Paquette, we experienced firsthand how truly disconnected these people are from reality. And the consequences are severe. People are being harmed by this, their families are being destroyed, their futures are being stolen. RFK and HHS needs to take action against these organizations.

Being Dominant means being the One in Control. Some people love it and some hate it, but either way, there is always someone in control and the areas where you are not the one in control, are where you have given that control to someone else! Being the one in control means being the one people TRUST to lead, to be in charge. And for us to hold that responsibility, we gotta be not only comfortable with that role, but to love it! To want it. Control holds negative connotations, yet if it is exerted by someone with positive intentions, it is very healthy. It means you trust yourself and don't need to rely on others to direct you. NOT being in control means chaos. It means helplessness. It means inability to make decisions. Or to take initiatives. It means you are the one that follows. And if that is what you actually desire you have to be conscious of that choice. Otherwise you fall into that role and then wonder why nothing goes as you want. And if you choose to follow, choose your leader wisely. There always is someone in control, someone in charge, someone that leads. There is always a power dynamic. Truth is, we feel safe with those in control. Especially when they show us that them being in that role is positive for us. But so many people trust others more than they trust themselves! Which means being constantly influenced by everyone else's option and advice... which makes then the ones in control of your life! Decide WHO you want to take control when you want or need it, but also choose when YOU should be The One in charge. Developing that self-trust requires radical self responsibility. Which is what people struggle with. Nobody wants to be responsible for anything. And then we blame everyone for why our lives are not what we want them to be. And if you DO want to dominate, start by controling your own Self, your own thoughts, your own life. You can't expect others to trust YOU if YOU don't. Think about it... those that are in control are the people that have the most influence in the world. So if conscious people who desire to create a positive change take more control/responsibility, it would literally change society as we know it.
