Anya Taylor-Joy about method acting: "If you'll notice, women don't method act because we have things to take care of, so we can't completely lose our minds. I see acting as a controlled psychosis in a way. You're pretending to be somebody else and having their thoughts 16 hours...

Nick Saban shares what transformational leadership really looks like and the trap most leaders fall into. "If you're in any kind of managerial position, I think you should define your job the same way: Provide the leadership to develop the relationships to help people create and accomplish the opportunities that they have, and help them establish the discipline they need to do it." Then he broke down what leadership actually is: "Leadership is about helping somebody else, affecting somebody else for their benefit. Not for your benefit - for their benefit." "If you're doing it for your benefit, it's manipulation. And people can see right through that." That's the line right there... Leadership serves others. Manipulation serves yourself. "You gotta develop a relationship, because they gotta know you care. Hard to affect people if they don't think you care about them." Then he called out where most leaders spend their time: "How do you spend all your time? If you're a manager, you spend all your time with the people who don't do the right things. I call them energy vampires." "We got 5 guys on our team - they don't go to class, they don't do the right thing in practice, they loaf all the time. Those are the guys I meet with every day. They're energy vampires." So he made a commitment: "I'm gonna meet with 3 guys who didn't do anything wrong every day to see how they're doing. To make sure they know I care about them, their family, and what's happening in their life." "I wanna have a relationship with those people, so that when I need to affect them, I have a chance to do it." "People gotta know you care. If they think you only care about yourself, they're gonna think you're just a manipulator and you're not really going to affect them in a positive way." "You gotta serve other people." The core of servant leadership is wanting to see others at their best. It's not about control, it's about serving others. (🎥 CBT Automotive)

“You're not entitled to get what you want. I love you. You're entitled to earn what you're willing to go work for. And that's true in our families, in our parenting, in our marriage, in our companies, in society. If we want it, go earn it. If that's positivity, have positivity. I think and I am a positive person. I am jacked. I am excited. Obviously, you can feel my energy through technology here, I hope. Frankly, think positive people just need to get a lot stronger. I really do. I mean, I don't want to call them weak because people hear that differently but it kind of is. Look, if you want that positivity to stick, you’ve got to get tougher. Not sacrifice your love and your care and your empathy, but you got to get tough. And then we have to figure out how to love the people who are cynical because I don't think there's a ton of bad people in the world and I don't think there's a ton of bad people on teams. But I do think there are people who've been burned out. I do think there are people who have been through things in their lives. They've been through things in their company. They're experiencing stuff somewhere else. For whatever reason, they just kind of got run down and cynical and negative, or whatever. Or they're just wired a little different than we are. And I don't to hate on those people. I want to win those people. They don't have to be like me. They don't have to have my energy. But I want those people on my team. I want to love those people. And if eventually they choose that they don't believe in the same things that I believe in, I want to make it really clear and obvious that they don't want to be on this team because we're not about that. You know what I'm saying? I want it to be very easy, obvious, that, ‘Hey I should not be on this team. Because this team is full of very positive people who have great energy and talk to people, not about them.’ And we solve problems. We don't complain. We don't get defensive. We're real. I recognize I'm imperfect and I'm vulnerable to show you that about me. I want to be on that kind of a team. And if there's somebody who doesn’t believe in that stuff, I want to make it really easy for them to say, ‘Look, I don't want to be on this team. I don't wanna live like you guys live. I don't want do what you guys do.’ And then I really hope that that person leaves us and goes and joins our competitor.”

Jordan Peterson: "If you're competent and silent you will be ignored." "You might think well people should reward you because you're competent. And yes of course they should. But if you're competent and silent then you're just part of the background that's keeping everything functioning" On why you cannot negotiate from a position of weakness: "If you want to push your career forward you have to push it forward. You have to be competent and you have to be strategic" "To be strategic when you negotiate for a new position or a new salary you have to be able to say if you don't give me what I want then something you don't like will happen to you" "It's not a physical threat. It's that you have an option" "You have your CV in order. You're educated and competent and desirable to people outside of your immediate job. You're willing to instantly put yourself on the job market" "So that when you go talk to the person you're negotiating with you're credible" On the one thing most people completely miss about negotiation: "It's very seldom that you're talking to the person who's at the top of the pecking order. What you need to do is tell them a story that they can tell to their boss to make you not a problem" "A good story is look we really need this person because they're hyper competent and they have a better offer" "If you go in there with no power you're going to lose. Obviously" He concludes with the one thing every competent person needs to hear: "The first thing you need to know if you're going to negotiate is that you have to be able to say no. And what no means is that you're not going to do it"

Ash Sarkar, "What's your vision of the good life?" Zack Polanski, "I think it's one where we can spend more time with the people that we love" "Love and compassion are really important qualities that rarely get talked about in politics" "Politicians shied away from them because they felt a bit icky, or that the public might not like it" "But then how do we center compassion, not just for refugees but for each other, neighbours strangers" "A Universal Basic Income where people have food on the table, able to pay rent, transport to work, and feel supported" "One where we centre creativity and art, not just STEM subjects or a focus on growth in the way Reeves and Starmer turn us into these robotic machines" "Where we can spend time doing the things that we love, just for the sake of the fact that we love them even if there is no economic productivity at the end of it" "It's completely fine to be human beings" "Having spaces where you can have human connections with people" "We've had politics for so long that just gets people to divide, to point at each other, to be jealous, to talk about a faster car, or a bigger house, or another loft conversion" "The good life looks like when we can rid ourselves of all those addictions" "If you're living a comfortable life where you're more than surviving you're thriving, a good life looks like where you're not in constant competition to beat your neighbours or someone in your community" "You're actually going, what does it look like just to be happy and just to love, and that's good"

Yunjin talked about the significance of slowness in a world that moves so fast & virtue of patience ❤️‍🩹 “What I've been thinking about lately is the importance of being deliberately slow about things and allowing yourself a pocket of time in your day to not be rushed by anyone or anything, not even yourself. When we had our show in Shizuoka, we got on, we took the train there, the Shinkansen, instead of taking a flight like we would normally and it was really really nice because we were allotted an amount of time in our day to basically just sit with ourselves. You know, that's what I love about being on a plane or just in any vehicle, because you are not driving it or you could be driving it, but you can’t travel in a split second. There's time. There's a time of arrival that you can't control and you just kind of have to wait and sit with yourself. But I feel this need to be on airplane mode when I do have those opportunities to be off my phone and just, like, disconnected from the world, but also not disconnected from the world. You know what I mean? Like, when you're on a plane, you're still part of the world. You're just, like, not on the stratosphere, like, physically. And it kind of like, forces you to be, like. To, like, separate yourself for a second, like a couple hours or a couple days, if you're like a layover or something. I found myself looking out the window of the train and just, like, enjoying myself. Because everything is so fast, and I think everything. Ever since then, I've been deliberately, like, making an effort to do one thing very slowly, and it's very nice. It’s good. It's a good way to kind of put your feet back on the ground and remind yourself that not everything has to be you know, it's okay to take a breather and just wait. It's a virtue. Patience is a virtue, you know, but it's also virtue to enjoy it and gift yourself that time. It's kind of rebellious in a way, because no one can take that right from you. To do something with less urgency when everybody around you is like, of course, if it's an urgent manner, you should or urgent matter, you should do things accordingly but, you know, if it's like you don't need to wash your hair, like, in three minutes. Like, you can take your time to really think about. You know, sometimes we just live on. Autopilot so much, I think it's important to remind ourselves we're not AI.”

Rogan: So you're not opposed to them (fake refugees) being there. You're opposed to them getting Canadian welfare. Poilievre: Well, I'm opposed to them. If they're not real refugees, they shouldn't be brought in as refugees. I think we have to distinguish between those people who are actually in danger in their home country, which is the definition of a refugee, and someone who just wants to come in excess of their proper immigration dream. (…) Poilievre: (..) we are trying to unwind that ( the larger number of temporary foreign workers) now. Rogan: How do you do that? Poilievre: Well, when their work permit and their visitor visa runs out, then we have to encourage them to head back lawfully. Rogan: Right ? But you don't want to do it ice style. Poilievre: No. No. I don't think we need to do that. I just think we have to be orderly and lawful about it. Rogan: And is that supported by the Canadian people? Poilievre: Yes. Because we're a very welcoming country. We're a nation of immigrants, but we're also a nation of laws. And there's a general consensus across the spectrum in Canada that the population growth was too fast for like four or five years. And so we're trying to unwind that. Now, Poilievre is therefore prepared to tolerate these fake refugees here in Canada like Carney. The next step for him will be to grant them permanent residency. No Pierre Poilievre they must be DEPORTED! Poilievre also stated that when foreign workers' work permits and visitor visas expire, we must ENCOURAGE them to leave the country legally. No Pierre Poilievre our law must be respected and enforced. They must be DEPORTED! Pierre, we are not a nation of immigrants. I am a descendant of settlers. This country was built by French, English, Irish and European settlers.

CEO of JPMorgan, Jamie Dimon, shares his top career advice: "Work hard. There's no such thing as success without hard work. So some people have this quick get-rich-quick notion. I've never seen it. I mean, maybe it's like a casino. Maybe it's happened, but it's not the normal way. Second, you're going to spend your life learning. You know, I read four or five newspapers every morning. I read tons of stuff. I read everything that people send me. When you go out on the road, learn, learn, learn. You learn from clients, learn from competitors. When we meet with small businesses, you're always learning. And that could be a small thing that someone said, why do you do this? You say, my God, we should do that differently. It's a very large thing. Even innovation sometimes is not an aha. It's a lot of little things added on top of each other. The iPhone was 3G. You know, the glass, the semiconductors, the batteries. It wasn't one thing that created an iPhone. So learn, learn, learn. Treat people the way you want to be treated. You know, like have respect for people and be willing to change your job a little bit. Don't worry about your income level. You know people focus. Oh my god. I take that job I love the people but it's less money. Y ou know what sometimes it's the absolute right thing to do So be a little bit of flexible and the job you take and try you know in your in your lifetime. You should be prepared to do a bunch of different things. We tell people it's your job to take care of your mind, your body, your spirit, your soul, your friends, your family. You need to do that at any level because if you don't know you probably won't be a particularly productive worker we can help and but we can't do it for you. We can provide opportunities, but we can't do it for you. Second, you know, when you're... Wait, so what does that mean? You want people to basically say, I'm going to leave, I've got to... Yes. You've got to go take care of your kid's baseball game. You don't feel well. You need a spiritual getaway. You should do those things, and it can be done. Most of the people in my life who are always fringy, they can't get it done, I always tell them, it's you. It's not the company. There are a lot of people doing that exact same job, and they're always at peace and at ease, and they have their family time. You know, if you're a male who just had a bunch of babies, you know, maybe you can't play golf every day in the weekends. Maybe you got to just cut back on other things and focus on that. You can't give kids, for example, quality time only. You don't get the quality without quantity. And I tell people, so you have to arrange your life so it works for you in a way that you're taking care of your health. When I go travel overseas, I schedule exercise time. Management is get it done, follow up, discipline, planning, analysis, facts, facts, facts, analysis, get the right people in the room. You know, kill the bureaucracy, all these various things are going to get done, which if you don't, you won't be particularly good. But the real keys to leadership aren't just doing that or making sure it's done, but having people who want to work at the place. So you might want to work for me if you trust me. If you know what I care about is the client, the country, something different. If the person's selfish, you know, blames you and takes the credit, you're not going to want to work there. So to me, humility openness, fairness, being authentic, that's what creates leadership. Not that they're the smartest person in the room or the hardest working person in the room. And you can, you know, if you made a list of good CEOs, it's not their charisma, it's not always their brainpower, but you won't be a good CEO without that because people want to work there. And so to me, that is a whole different way of making sure you manage it."

Running this page has opened my eyes to how many racists who hate white people we have living amongst us. It’s disgusting. I see on a daily basis, people in the comments banging on about slavery and colonialism. They don’t realise the luckiest day of their lives was being born in a western democracy. They have lived a life of privilege but like to be a victim. They are angry with white people moving into black countries hundreds of years ago. But perfectly fine with black people moving to white countries in the present day. They call it immigration when it’s them. They are in support of people being able to live wherever they want. Just not when it’s white people. That’s colonialism and it’s evil. They don’t realise they are everything that they hate the colonisers for. They take all the benefits of being here. But still hate us for it. They use history and things that didn’t happen to them as a scapegoat to be openly hateful towards us. In their own mind it justifies their racism so they can still hold the self righteous belief they are a good person. But when I see people like this. It restores my faith in immigration. It’s good to know that this can sometimes be the outcome. Not everyone is selfish and only care about their own race. There are plenty of people who care about us too. Plenty of people see it for what it is and stand by our side and I have nothing but respect for them. I wish everyone was like that. Thank you to this man for speaking out for us and showing common sense. Because when we say this, they call is far right racists and fascists. But in reality we are only human just like anyone else. Only we are taught to just accept this and eat shit and be happy. It’s double standards and this man is bang on it 👏👏
