i envision a world without duplicates

holy hell the "holographic audio" in this ... how ... how did you do that ... though a macbook speaker, nontheless

i’m still very much learning the ropes of audio, i wanted a very metallic/vibrational sound so i recorded the piano with an iPhone laying directly on the frame; the voice was generated from a similarly tinny source, i then applied some light filters and added a hard limiter

That is as recorded? Amazing. I am in a conference room rn and it sounded like it was coming from behind me.

You know that’s a funny way to put it. Most of the time I hear people talk about this, they think of it as an attraction towards chaos, but you could also state it as a repulsion toward similarity

yes, i think pure chaos is often the wrong lens when contrasting nature with imposed order; i believe much of the beauty we enjoy comes from chaotic growth within an ordered substrate

It’s like the universe is an operating system that simply can’t handle one file having the same name as another 😂

You already are living in it

yes but the things we make often fight reality, i want to lean in with compute in every pocket and ubiquitous 3d printing the stage is set to make all precious things unique

Sounds like a good plan, left you a follow

great piano composition

thank you! the audio here is a snippet from a long session of improvising, imagining this video as i played; i then made the video based on the audio, it was a joy to draw from both sides

ur literally me

do you play?

Incredible

i don't understand how one can even come up with these sequences/patterns, yet you did and it's beautiful

Such beautiful, beautiful music

thank you! it’s an original improvisation in A minor, piano has become my main aesthetic organizer for my visuals

Beautiful visuals, wild stuff!

penrose tiling, tile shapes that form patterns that dont repeat. a framework for infinite novelty. the universe a novelty generator. a base, a host, for a never repeating universe

your work inspires me so much. absolutely beautiful.

thank you, this means a lot i’ve been a longtime admirer of your work, it was instrumental in inspiring me to make this account and give my own creative pursuits everything

Feeling grateful for this 🙏 Thank you for letting me know.

intriguing.

10/10 no notes this was an experience.

You have to keep pushing this further. I was at a festival with a friend and we went deep into why there’s war. Humans could be one coherent united entity, but instead we’re different and with conflict. And this is somehow better. God is one and united, humans are in the fallen world and in war
