Here's an update on where I'm at in my Landscape Material learning journey Cracks in the ground! I've finally been able to recreate the gold cracks from the gold biome in Battle Royale. It uses normals to fake the look that it's below the ground which I think is so sick I also made a way to change out the gold for another material. This opens up the possibility for more unique looking biomes #UEFN #Fortnite

I created my own custom water material and underwater post process material in UEFN! It uses distance fields to create foam and ripples around objects on the surface and I can also add algae/pondscum to the surface. I plan on adding more features to this material soon! For underwater, I project a caustics material along surface normals in the underwater post process material as well as using scene depth to make things up close appear clear and things farther away appear not as clear. #UEFN #Fortnite

Here's a progress update on my recreation of the Simpsons landscape material! Port-A-Bunkers are broken in-game & UEFN Fortnite Status Fortnite Developers Flak You can’t place them on the side of walls/buildings anymore, you can’t place them on roofs, and you can’t attach them to the corner of another bunker like before. The same problems are happening in UEFN, plus bunkers are now going through landscape that previously worked, and they no longer behave properly with static meshes, including custom meshes and cliff gallery meshes. The 40.10 update was supposed to address bunkers going through landscape, but that issue was rare and already had many workarounds/fixes, as it was a bug since day 1 of UEFN. Now the fix has created even more problems across both the live game and UEFN.
