I feel like Apple doesn’t get enough credit for this. If M series chips never happened on Macbooks, we would have probably never had Windows arm laptops either allowing for AAA gaming in a thin laptop body

If Apple ever makes Macbooks properly built for gaming, they would decimate the gaming laptops industry overnight lmao

Totally agree, the fact that the entry level Macbook Neo is capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 at 30+ FPS shows how insanely powerful and efficient these Apple chips really are.

Man fuck that, we can play 5 games on Mac. It’s criminal we can’t play real games on Mac

Imagine changing the future of laptops. The Ironic thing is till now Apple couldn't figure out Gaming in their systems. That's funny as fuck.

This is literally being played from cloud so why click bait

Its not being played from the cloud

Spot on. Apple’s M-series basically proved the blueprint — thin, efficient, and powerful. Without them pushing the limits, we might still be waiting years for proper Windows ARM gaming like this. That Alan Wake 2 footage looks insane on a Surface!

Windows on ARM is older than ARM MacBooks.

Yeah but what's the point? Spend more money to get less performance to play on a tiny screen. You don't need it. AAA games should be played on your full setup. It's worth waiting until you're back from your trip. Compromising just because you can't wait isn't the right answer.

I have an M4 Pro, and it's scary how much heat it puts out when I play Wuthering Waves

That’s why I’m developing my game on My M1 MacBook it’s that’s good

Imagine getting a MacBook to play video games…

Nah, Windows had ARM first.

windows RT hello microsoft was earlier what was lacking chips

I just wish these games were also on Mac. The hardware is there, but the software support isn't because hardly any game dev wants to support Mac due to Apple's draconian developer policies.

playing cyberpunk 2077 on locked 30fps on an air m2 on battery changed my entire perspective about every laptop and x86_64

No, I credit Microsoft : In 1997, Microsoft invested $150 million into a struggling Apple. This deal was largely driven by monopoly concerns. By keeping their only major competitor alive, Microsoft could point to a viable alternative in the operating system market.

All fun and games till the pointer appears out of nowhere and flies across the screen

The most exciting part is that now Mac’s will run most games

Imagine the handhelds with this chip, game changer.

We can barely play five games on Mac. It’s honestly ridiculous how limited the selection of major games still is on the platform.

Apple didn't invent ARM

As a MacBook user myself, I think they get too much credit for things they never invented.

Are we ever going to see affordable gaming products? Like ever again?

The progression from arm handheld to arm laptop seems pretty obvious. Intel and its atom netbooks tried to purposefully kill this market but it would have come back.

More competition is great for everybody, so pleased to see the MBP finally get some

NVIDIA just got delayed, they tried to acquire ARM back in 2020 and gave up on 2022. RTX Spark is not a direct response to Apple.

What game is that

这不是高通去找微软写了个Arm版本的win11吗? 和苹果有什么关系? 这么舔苹果你是收了钱?

It seems strange to me to value someone because they create natural competition, this is literally the essence of capitalism

We've had thin <2cm thick gaming notebooks for decades. And yes they were powerful also. People don't like them because the battery life is attrocious and there's lots of laptop specific software bugs. <2 hour battery life, somewhat better for M1, bad again for M4

They need to make it so we can play windows games at some point without using apps like Crossover etc.

for sure, now they need another os, windows is toooooo old

ta bueno porque de paso te haces unos tostados

It may not be the best performance for the price but running on that wattage is crazy
