I feel like docs should do this no matter what age we are.

I was a nurse for a long time, some docs have it and some don't. This guy was meant for pediatrics.

At the pediatric hospital where I get most of my medical care it’s “would you like the numbing spray?” and “we can do the IV after anesthesia if that’s better for you” and at adult hospitals it’s “suck it up and get stabbed”
