I find it offensive that doing the same thing on iOS is much faster and easier than Android. On WhatsApp, you can swipe left on a message to check delivered/read status. Very useful in group chats. Can’t do it on Android.

I get it when devs can’t put iOS’s design language or animation quality in their Android apps, but things like these should be pretty easy to implement. Maybe it’s because they thought this gesture might interfere with Android’s back gesture, but I believe there’s a clear distinction between swiping from the edge and swiping in the middle of a message.
