This looks amazing, I shudder to think how many hours I've spent making my rinky dink doors in probuilder haha will be checking this out! Is it compatible with earlier versions of Unity?

it should be after like 5 changing like 5 lines of code, just old FindAnyObjectByType -> FindFirstObjectByType, but im working on a patch for older versions thatll be out soon!

Awesome! I'll be grabbing it soon then

🤤

The jump from dragging the door into the wall to kicking it open got me. Boom, doorway indeed.

Making openings directly in the blockout looks handy for an immersive sim. It seems like a good way to try alternate routes before committing to the art. Does this also update collision as you edit the walls?

yes! 👍

@SomeHoopyFrood collab maybe? :)

So cool, awesome work!!

thank you :) right back at ya!

the nondestructive cutouts for doors and windows are such a good call, do the openings stay put if you resize the wall after placing them? i’ve been building a similar snapping thing on the art side in blender so really curious how you handled it

yeah the cutters are separate game objects, so no matter what you do to the wall they will always cut the same

sweeet, thats awesome. actually a huge time saver, nice stuff!

blender

Awesome job

Was AI used in the creation?

damn bro, you didn't fix it, you created it

Really cool. How does it compare to RealtimeCSG?

real-time csg seems broken, and isn't being updated anymore, very unfortunate since it does looks like a pretty good tool

Is building things better in unity instead of just creating specific reusable walls and preset environment in blender and then modifying them when imported to Unity?

fixed level design is a bold claim. love it
