I found this way very useful, perfect for adding that extra squish anywhere you need it. 🪄✨ - effortless joint rigging with this simple trick: smoothing vertices

Make sure your Subset is "Selected Pose Bones" for smoothing vertex weights.

@llay11a I need to stop being afraid of weight paint... I've been manually editing vertex group weights in edit mode...

so do I! calculating vertex weights is more powerful when combined with manual weight painting 😄

@llay11a Didn’t know you can do that 😭 I always use smooth brush manually. Thanks for the tricks!

I used to do it as well 😳thank you Kokomika!

@llay11a is there any major differences between using Face or Vertex?

I think they’re similar, but I’m just used to vertex mask when it comes to rigging.

@llay11a This is the first time I have seen someone do it this way. Whenever I make a rig, I use the smooth corrective modifier with the corresponding vertex groups.

@llay11a Maya users be like "isn't that just normal weight painting?"

@llay11a I really need to start using this! Ive manually been doing it this whole time....
