When 357 members of Congress vote to keep records hidden, they are choosing to protect a system of secrecy over the public’s right to know. We cannot have two sets of rules, one for the powerful and another for the people. Our government was founded on the principle of accountability, not the preservation of political privilege. The American people deserve a Congress that operates with the same transparency it demands of its citizens.

For the right of people that don't belong in your house to stay in your house in the event that they you leave for a month or two and a squatter goes in and takes your house over. Democrats are fighting for the ability of those people to be able to stay in your house.”
