The way homes get built is full of rules nobody can explain. He questioned all of them. Riley Meik (Riley Meik) on building from first principles: "A lot of it came down to hand tools. Why do we have to use hand tools? Why do we have to use materials of this size?" "Why do two people need to be able to carry every single part of the building system? When 357 members of Congress vote to keep records hidden, they are choosing to protect a system of secrecy over the public’s right to know. We cannot have two sets of rules, one for the powerful and another for the people. Our government was founded on the principle of accountability, not the preservation of political privilege. The American people deserve a Congress that operates with the same transparency it demands of its citizens.

Yom Kippur is not a day for you to perform well enough for God to accept you. It is a day to honor what God has already done for you through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Romans 3 says it plainly. God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear the world of sin. Because it is not our righteousness that makes the case. It is His. God sets things right. And then He makes it possible for us to LIVE in rightness. Let today be a day of honoring the One who already finished the work on your behalf. 🙏 📖
