I got a quick interview with the one and only Rosemary Scapicchio as she left Norfolk Superior Court following today's Shawn Johnson hearing. Proctorgate discovery has caused a delay in the trial, and we'll see Michael Proctor at 3PM ET on September 14th at Norfolk Superior!

NEW: The Proctorgate files continue to expand to SnapChat, and Michael Proctor's lawyer accused Karen Read's legal team of engaging in "defamation" by revealing Proctor and Sean Goode's horrifying text messages in a court filing last week, during a hearing before Judge Doolin Thursday on the Myles King docket in Norfolk Superior Court. Proctor's lawyer, during the hearing, argued that Proctor's Snapchat and text messages should not be made public. That resulted in this reporter saying, in real time; Wait, Michael Proctor had a Snapchat!?!?! Proctor's lawyer then referenced Karen's case filed last week in Bristol county (Proctorgate). Proctor's lawyer says he realizes the cat is out of the bad but implores Judge that we are talking about "Michael Proctor's privacy, who has spent years helping victims. He has never been indicted. He has never been arrested. He has never had his bail revoked. I would suggest Proctor has a legitimate privacy interest in these Snapchat messages." Proctor's lawyer wants the Norfolk D.A. to orally tell the defendants about Proctor's Snapchat messages. Proctor's lawyer then told Judge Doolin that Karen's lawsuit involving the Proctorgate files was intended to defame and embarrass Michael Proctor and, in turn, Proctor's lawyer asks Judge Doolin to keep Proctor's Snapchat messages public. Those were Proctor's own words (I said out loud). Rosemary Scapichhhio, the lawyer for Myles King, then said that Proctor has no standing in this case. Proctor is just an agent of the Commonwealth, says Scapichhhio, and it makes no sense to keep this material sealed when the Proctorgate messages are already starting to come out into the public. "I can't, for the life of me, understand how Proctor even has standing to come before the court," Scapichhhio said. Judge Doolin then said he will have a ruling "for ya' shortly." King, for his part, in currently in federal prison after he was charged by the DOJ last month for drug trafficking (a move that many suspect was designed to remove Proctor from King's cases). Hello, towel friends. I went on a deep dive today trying to locate the full court footage from Karen Read's felony arraignment in Norfolk Superior Court on 6/10/22 as to John O'Keefe's murder. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did find this clip of Karen in handcuffs beings walked into court that day. If you have a copy of the 6/10/22 arraignment (in full), or a hearing held in Norfolk Superior Court on 8/23/22, please let me know! Thank you!

In most states, agencies like the State Police remain fully independent from the District Attorney’s Office and only collaborate with prosecutors on a case-by-case basis. By contrast, in Norfolk County, State Police detectives are formally embedded within the DA’s office and work under the DA’s direction on a daily basis. Michael Proctor is not only a complete and utter failure as a moral and ethical human being. He is an indictment of the Massachusetts State Police. AND he is a reflection of the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, one that can only be corrected with a complete overhaul in leadership. ADAM DEITCH FOR DA 🇺🇸

Adam Lally was grilled by defense attorney Rosemary Scapicchio on why he didn't demand that Michael Proctor hand over outstanding discovery in a murder case. He had no answer. He said he followed up with Proctor several times but never got it. He said he would normally go to Proctor's boss Brian Tully and ask him for it, but he says he doesn't "recall" if he ever did that with Tully. Despite having several discovery hearing he never once notified the court that the police were stonewalling him on discovery requests. He is blaming the State Police, while also admitting that when the State Police violate the law he doesn't do anything about it. Judge Cannone did not allow this sort of hearing to take place prior to Karen Read's trial.

With 61 people watching, unfortunately myself after the fact, is blatantly, boldly and without any qualifiers stating on a stream that she has proof Timothy J. Bradl, P.C. Tim Bradl, lawyer for Aidan Aidan Kearney lied to the Superior Court of Norfolk Co.. She states as fact he hid material evidence from the court about the location of a cell phone & he knowingly perjured himself,as an officer of the court, by lying about the authenticity of evidence in a proffer. These are serious accusations, even if not from a serious person.
