I got Grok to code an FPS ASCII game for the CLI. It can one-shot this, and it's impressive. In the comments, you can see my attempt from September 2024 without a model like Grok.

Grok 4.5 in Grok Build created an FPS game in under an hour. The prompt was simple. I told it to write a game design document and pull free assets from the web. Then I had it create a TODO.md with implementation phases and run a loop to build out each phase. SpaceXAI and Cursor cooked here. This model is insane.

Claude Fable 5 orchestrating Grok 4.5 is now my favorite real workflow. all you need is this free Claude Code plugin that makes Grok the default implementer. Fable writes the specs and reviews every diff, Grok 4.5 does the typing through the Grok CLI. - Grok handles the volume, Fable handles the judgment - Every diff gets cross-vendor review for free - Specs run as parallel agents when they're independent I've been testing it for a few days and the part that sold me is watching Fable refuse to write code. It sends specs down, judges what comes back, and that's it. setup: 1. claude plugin marketplace add DannyMac180/fable-advisor && claude plugin install fable-advisor 2. Install the Grok CLI from then grok login 3. /model fable It's open source, so you can read the agent files and tweak the routing however you want.

I gave the Unity CLI a try - and it's GOOD! Connected with Grok 4.5 via Grok Build - it handled the Editor by itself. Took the 2d platformer template and told Grok to give it a visual uplift, while keeping the game mechanics. Spriterrific for the character animations and Nano Banana 2 lite for the static sprites. I think this is a huge unlock for gamedevs, especially those who want to use Unity!

I didn’t expect Grok’s video model to improve this much. Today, when I was generating a video with Seedance 2.0, I found the results weren’t very good. So I tried using the exact same source material and prompt in Grok instead. To my surprise, Grok actually produced better results than Seedance 2.0. I’ve put the prompt and source material in the comments, so if you’re interested, you can give it a try too. The left side shows the video generated by Grok, and the right side shows the video generated by Seedance 2.0.
