Every time Russia carries out such attacks, it underscores how critical it is that partners don’t leave systems like Patriot and others sitting idle in warehouses, but instead provide them to those who know how to protect lives and urgently need them. We still haven’t received all the necessary systems from our allies—but we continue to work toward that goal. Once these systems are in place, our ability to repel attacks will be much stronger. One more thing: The plan for strengthening Ukraine is the Victory Plan that I presented to our partners. One of its key elements is providing our army with long-range capabilities. There’s been much said in the media today that we have received approval to take relative actions. But strikes are not carried out with words. These things are not announced. The missiles will speak for themselves.

I am in Turks and Caicos Islands, where I am meeting with a contingent from the Jamaica Constabulary Force. These officers have been instrumental in helping to reduce crime here in the islands. Our officers are exceptionally well trained, and their presence here is a testament to that training. The Government of the islands is pleased with the work these officers have been doing under the leadership of Commissioner Fitz Bailey. I had the pleasure of inspecting our officers and speaking with them about the important work they have been carrying out here.

Today, one of the North Korean missiles launched by the Russians, unfortunately, killed two people in the Kyiv region—a father and his four-year-old son. My condolences to their family and loved ones. Three others were injured and are receiving the necessary care. Our experts have clearly identified the type of missile and know exactly from which area in Russian territory it was launched. It will be entirely just for Ukrainians to respond to this terror in the way necessary to stop it—with appropriate long-range strikes on the locations from which missiles are launched in Russia, and by effectively destroying Russian military logistics. Terror must always be defeated—this is a fundamental principle of protecting life. We will continue to discuss with our partners how air defense protects lives, and how lifting restrictions on long-range strikes will save thousands of lives.

I am deeply touched and honoured by the presence of thousands of mothers, brothers, and sisters at our Janasabhas in Nanoor, Burwan, and Nabagram. The love that the people of Birbhum and Murshidabad have always shown for Trinamool Congress is something I carry in my heart. I am humbled, and I am grateful. But today, even as I draw strength from the people, I cannot look away from the grave threats that surround our democracy. The Gonotontro-Birodhi forces of BJP are attempting to poison the minds of our people through hatred and communal venom, hoping to tear apart the secular, inclusive fabric that has always bound Bengal together. We have seen the deliberate insult inflicted upon India's pride, Bengal's pride, Birbhum's pride, Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore, by these very Bangla-Birodhi forces. The people have witnessed how established electoral norms have been violated to allow rigging to unfold in open sight, before a single vote has been cast. Our people have been made to stand in humiliating queues merely to prove their right to belong, to retain a constitutional right that was never anyone else's to take from them. We are now in a new phase of development for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have done a lot to transition the Ukrainian Air Force to a new aviation standard – Western combat aviation. From the beginning of this war, we have been talking with our partners about the need to close the Ukrainian sky from Russian missiles and aircraft. We have held hundreds of meetings and negotiations to strengthen the capabilities of our aviation, air defense, and Defense Forces. We often heard the word "impossible" in response, but we made possible what was our ambition, our defense need, and now – it is a reality in our sky. F-16s in Ukraine. We ensured this. I am proud of all our guys who are skillfully mastering these aircraft and have already started using them for our country. I thank our team for this result. I thank all the partners who are truly helping with the F-16s, and the first countries that accepted our request for aircraft – Denmark, the Netherlands, the United States, – and all our partners, – we value your support. I wish our Air Force and all our warriors to feel the pride of Ukrainians in our combat aviation and to bring Ukraine the combat results that will bring our victory closer – our just peace for Ukraine.

Rescue operations in Dnipro continued throughout the day in the aftermath of a Russian missile strike. Over 50 people have been injured, and they are all receiving the necessary assistance. We have these iPads – I have one, my Prime Minister has one, our Minister of Defense, and our top military commanders – they have it. It lets us see the front line in Ukraine, and even every enemy killed – with video proof. Right now, 90% of Russian losses on the front are caused by our drones. That’s why it’s so important to know who has the advantage in drones – and to be fast and strong in defending against them. The iPad also shows every strike in our skies, our sea area, and our long-range strikes against Russia. It gives us real-time control over people’s safety, and our infrastructure and energy sector. And I believe the evolution of security will make it possible for every leader, every defense minister – and even ordinary people – to have tools like this, and with them, a high level of protection of life. Leaders and ministers work for people. And if the leaders have power, it is only because people trust them with their security. My work in the “Health freedom” movement goes back more than 10 years. @robertfkennedyjr was brought to me back in 2015 by a mutual colleague due to the explosion of autism within the Black community and specifically with Black boys. We within the Black community have been gaslit and/or made to feel that we are insane to look at vaccines as a cause if not THEE cause of autism. Turns out our concerns were/are legitimate. The data brought to me in 2015 by RFK jr was regarding the MMR vaccine and Black boys. We also looked over the data (both from the CDC) regarding the hepatitis B vaccine and its connection to autism and Black boys. Scientist Dr. Brian Hooker (another colleague) was brought to me to the same meeting and went over all of this data as a PhD biologist/chemist. We have fought against SB277 in California, SB276 in CA, bills in New Jersey, New York and much much more. This was done on behalf of the rights of parents and the people against vaccine mandates and the guaranteed protections that come with vaccine exemptions (religious, philosophical and/or medical exemption forms). I have worked with parents and their children who are on the autism spectrum since prior to 2010. This nation is sick and it is up to US to change our own condition. On the governmental side THEY have to change things as well and due to my work over the years there are many individuals who I have worked with in this movement, from state-to-state, from California to Washington D.C and all the way up to the steps of the CDC itself! It has been 44 days since Ukraine agreed to a full ceasefire and a halt to strikes. This was a proposal from the United States. And it has been 44 days of Russia continuing to kill our people and evading tough pressure and accountability for its actions. It is extremely important that everyone around the world sees and understands what is really happening. Nearly 70 missiles, including ballistic ones. And about 150 attack drones. Unfortunately, there is significant destruction. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the rubble of residential buildings is being cleared. As of this moment, over 80 people have been injured across Ukraine. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. Regrettably, 9 people have been killed in Kyiv. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones. There was a report from the military command. I instructed the Minister of Defense of Ukraine to immediately contact our partners regarding our requests to strengthen air defenses. Today, I will brief President Ramaphosa of South Africa, who currently holds the G20 Presidency, on the situation and our need to intensify global diplomatic efforts. The strikes must be stopped immediately and unconditionally. We also count on support in humanitarian matters — in the return of our prisoners and Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. I am canceling part of the program for this visit and will return to Ukraine immediately after the meeting with the President of South Africa. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine will hold all the necessary meetings in South Africa to fully inform the country’s political and civil society leaders about the situation. I am grateful to everyone around the world who stands with Ukraine and supports our people.

I decided on an open letter and there are two reasons I can give for this. In the first place, you have been very open about your questions. This has been a matter of public discussion, and so I don’t feel it is out of place to address them in this way. Second, you are our president, and in this role you are in many ways our representative. I believe there are many Americans who have exactly the same questions that you do. As I write to you, I am writing also to them. And to these reasons, I might also tag on a third, which is that approaching the task this way stands a better chance of actually getting to you, which is actually the central point. I write because I am a minister of the kingdom of Heaven, and when I hear someone talking about Heaven as you have been doing, the only thing that comes to my mind is how I might possibly set out the message of Christ to you in a way that fits. How might I faithfully address the questions that you have been raising about this issue?
