I have successfully isolated Paul McCartney’s harmony on Chains everyone needs to listen to this asap please

People not understanding how vocal isolation still isn’t perfect and warps/distorts the audio is hilarious

‘That person can’t sing!’ ‘It must be you’ or you know maybe trying to isolate one persons vocals from a 60+ year old live recording isn’t going to be crystal clear and there’s going to be artefacts that make it sound funny. Also he hadn’t honed his craft at that time

If you listen closely to "If I Fell" for Paul on the "was in vain" harmony, he can't hit the note.

McCartney's a fantastic singer. Harmony means playing a role, which might not sound perfect if isolated from other voices. Seriously.

I never said that you sang it or you had the voice of an Angel. Anybody can dub a singing track. Paul has never sounded like that and he never will. Even if Paul has laryngitis, he wouldn't sound like that.

the best thing about recording backing vocals is that you know its gonna be way lower in the mix and you just gotta worry about serving the song instead of singing particularly well

He is singing sooo high and you get bits of it in the original track. I just listened to a stereo remix, I think it's clearer than in the mono (altho sometimes I love the momo) 😎
