Omollo has also been grooming his elder brother who is expected to run for Homabay Governor in 2027 on UDA ticket, with the current Deputy Governor as his running mate. Gladys Wanga: Sifuna and Babu are members of the NDC. Sifuna, by virtue of being a Senator of Nairobi, is a delegate at that NDC. Babu, by virtue of being a member of NEC and also MP for Embakasi, is a delegate at that NDC. They are not necessarily going to storm; they can attend the NDC, and we hope they will attend the NDC. We lost our leader, and that is a serious matter. We are stabilizing as we move forward. Edwin Sifuna on an NDC being called and him being kicked out as SG: It is okay. There is nowhere it is written that Sifuna can be the only one who is SG. I have said that I have predecessors, people who have done this job; I have young people in ODM who, I know for a fact, if they are given the opportunity, they can do this job even better than Sifuna or all the other SGs that have served before. It is not anyone’s birthright to be SG or to be any position in the party #CitizenExplainer

It's chaos. Fatuma Full Network nearly climbing on Oburu's shoulders to help him speak! On either side of Oburu, Abdulswamad, Wanga and at least three other people, are all shouting instructions at the Party Leader. One of them can be heard on the mic shouting "Wach awacha!" Meaning "Just speak!" Oburu himself appears dazed by all the instructions from everywhere around him, including from the crowd. All this at a function where the theme, quite ironically, was "Oburu must be respected". Why are they doing that? Why are they treating Oburu like a toddler just learning to speak? Why aren't they sure he can address a rally on his own, in Kibra of all places? I won't even ask if they would ever do that to Raila, because broad-based crackheads will say "there will always be only one Raila Odinga and his shoes are too big to be filled". Fair enough. Would they do this to Anyang' Nyong'o? Heck, would they do this to Otis Jakanjira Chumbi Nyiri, if he was Party Leader? What does this say about how this transactional faction of ODM views Oburu? Sad.

He said he is chasing power; we don’t know what this power entails. Baba was old in body and young in mind. After Baba has gone, we need to ask ourselves, do we need a younger Joshua or an older Joshua? Do we need an energetic Joshua or do we need a tired Joshua? It will be at Jamhuri Park; anything else would be maybe a kamukunji, a baraza, a political rally, a birthday party, but there is only one NDC of the ODM party that will be taking place this Friday. The NDC is not something I wake up and say this is an NDC, it is called in line with the constitution of the party. Anybody else trying to spread confusion, it is only that, confusion #JKLive

A few loud voices, detached from our process and struggle, will not distract us. The biggest coup in the Kenyan political scene happened yesterday. Kalonzo's WIPER, which exited Azimio sometime back, is suddenly in Azimio's leadership (courtesy of Uhuru Kenyatta's scheming to take Luos to the opposition through all means) and is being cheered by Justin Muturi, who has never been part of Azimio. The absurd thing is that Winnie Odinga, Sifuna and crew are actively supporting Uhuru's quest to control ODM through Azimio. Seems like Sifuna, Babu, etc. will manage ODM through the Azimio coup, and that's because even Sifuna doesn't recognise or respect Oburu as ODM's party leader. Meanwhile, Oburu still has an extreme soft spot for Sifuna and his gang of anarchists. Did you see how Sifuna enthusiastically congratulated "the new leadership of Azimio"?

In that consultation, he did not have other key stakeholders in the party, but he proceeded to State House to consult William Ruto. We were waiting for feedback from Oburu on whether or not the NEC meeting in Mombasa is happening. I am surprised that they went ahead and made the decision to remove Sifuna as the SG. #K24Siasa
