I integrated OpenAI’s privacy filter model into Rescriber, a browser extension that redacts sensitive info before ChatGPT sees your prompt. So now tasks like email drafting can keep names, emails, addresses, etc. masked while still getting useful output.

🦔Sam Altman has been describing a version of ChatGPT that remembers your whole life, every email, conversation, and document you choose to feed it, so it can act as a proactive assistant. A viral clip framed this as AI surveilling your entire life within six months, which overstates both the timeline and what he said. Strip out the hype, though, and there's a business angle here, one Altman has said out loud. My Take The obvious worry is privacy, and it's a big one. You'd be handing a single company a record of your entire life, your emails, your health, your money, your private conversations, and trusting it to guard all of that and never misuse it. These are the same firms that keep getting hacked and subpoenaed, and once that data exists in one place, you don't control where it ends up. They want it anyway because it locks you in. Altman has said the deep memory creates massive switching costs, which is his term for a moat. Once ChatGPT holds years of your context, walking away for a competitor means starting from zero, so most people won't. You carry the privacy risk so they can hold a customer who won't walk. Google and Apple ran a version of this with email and photos, and this hook goes far deeper, your whole life instead of a photo library. I'd think hard before pouring all of it into any single one of these tools, because the company that holds your entire context doesn't have to stay the best. It only has to be impossible to quit. Anne-Laure Le Cunff (Anne-Laure Le Cunff) might be the most productive person I’ve ever met. She’s simultaneously running a successful business, writing a book being published by a major publisher, and getting a PhD in neuroscience. She says it’s only possible because of ChatGPT. It saves her time on the administrative tasks required to run her business. It helps her create better outlines so that she can write pieces more efficiently. It even breaks down complex research papers so that she can incorporate them into her PhD work. We spent an hour and a half exploring in-detail every part of her ChatGPT workflow—and we even used it live to help her fine-tune her meditation practice. We get into: - How ChatGPT saves her time running her business - Tips to break down research papers into digestible insights - How she leverages ChatGPT to revamp her YouTube thumbnails - Using ChatGPT to write original articles - Doing deep online research using ChatGPT - How to use ChatGPT to generate advice tailored for your needs - How to surface useful insights from your journal using ChatGPT This is a must-watch for curious, creative people who want to get more done. Watch below! ---- Timestamps: Introduction 01:10 How to use ChatGPT to save time running a business 02:11 Tips to breakdown research papers with ChatGPT 05:17 How to use ChatGPT to generate explanations tailored for you 09:38 Leveraging ChatGPT to find hidden gems on the internet (like recipes for obscure cheese) 19:51 How to create awesome YouTube thumbnails with ChatGPT 33:47 Incorporating ChatGPT into your writing process 51:13 Rapid fire questions from X 56:52 Surfacing useful insights from Anne-Laure’s meditation journal 1:13:01 The case for journaling in the age of AI 1:29:04

Meet WebBrain: An Open-Source, Local-First AI Browser Agent That Reads Pages and Automates Tasks in Chrome and Firefox WebBrain lives inside your browser and can run entirely on your own local model — no cloud, no account, no data leaving your machine. Most "AI browser agents" are a chat box that pastes your page into someone else's server. That's not an agent that lives where you browse — and WebBrain draws a very clear line between the two. It's an open-source (MIT), local-first browser agent for Chrome and Firefox. It runs inside your existing authenticated session, on a model you pick — so with llama.cpp or Ollama, nothing leaves your machine. Here's what's actually interesting: → Two modes, cleanly separated. Ask reads the page (read-only, content scripts). Act clicks and types through the Chrome DevTools Protocol (chrome.debugger) — trusted input events that modern sites honor, reaching cross-origin iframes and shadow DOM. → UI-first by design. For anything that submits, sends, or buys, it drives the visible UI and refuses to hit REST/GraphQL endpoints directly. It starts read-only and asks before consequential actions. → Bring any model. llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM — or OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter. Recommended local: Qwen 3.6 35B (Qwen3.6-35B-A3B), which beat Gemma 4 on the project's screenshot benchmark. → Tuned for cost and privacy. Token-conscious screenshots, oldest-first context trimming, a dedicated vision model, 40+ tools (~20 in Compact mode). No telemetry. No accounts.
