I just don’t get the 5-2-3. Automatic overload vs your front line. Wingbacks pinned, open space inside, and rotations make it easy to manipulate. Then when they jump? Huge gaps appear. No risk and absolutely no reward.

Brennan Marion explains why he puts his running backs beside each other in his Go Go offense... "I wanted to get everybody to play a 4-4 Cover 3. I was trying to get everybody just to play cover 3 base defense so we could throw the ball exactly where. If you already know where the spots are gonna be open on the field you'll be able to take your shots and take advantage of the defense. So when they overload the strong side, then we run the ball weak. When they overload the backside, then we run the ball strong. Just kind of dictate where the ball's already gonna go before the play starts."
