I just solved "Reverse Engineering" education with Opus 5.5 + /colorfigures skill You don't have to spend $1000+ on a starter kit to learn, just visit my site: • 5 real boards: Arduino Uno R3, ESP32-S3, HC-SR04, Raspberry Pi 5... • build part by part. • break them on...

Breaking it on purpose is the best idea here. A flipped diode teaches more than a working board. Building machine cutaways with Claude showed me the same thing: the assembly order is the lesson. Ask it which part goes in first and why, and you find out fast whether it really gets the machine.

This is really cool. I’ve always wanted to learn reverse engineering but starter kits are too expensive, I will go try it out.

Breaking a virtual board instead of frying a real one? I'm sold lol

Learning through deliberate failure is a nice approach. A short explanation of what each simulation simplifies, plus a comparison with measurements on a real board, would help students carry the intuition into hardware work.
