Got introduced to , an AI code assistant specialised for Unity by Julian Park and after dabbling with it for a day, I am really impressed with how good it is for vibe coding on the Unity Game Engine. Bezi early impressions: - Bezi works direcly on Unity with a Plugin, this means that I don't need a Unity MCP - Because Bezi is built for Unity, the success rate of feature implementations is visibly higher than general coding models - It was able to integrate Unity store assets like a Weather system to this game pretty seamlessly - I was able to add a fishing database, lighting and weather systems into this game fairly quickly I'm very impressed with the results with Bezi so far. I feel that vibe coding a full indie game on Unity and releasing it on Steam, Mobile and Web is within reach. I tested GLM 5.2 on three real builds. A horror house game. A 3D stealth game. A Remotion marketing video. The results are exactly what I expect from Chinese open source coding models right now. The horror house has broken game logic. Collect all three keys, complete the objective, and the front door still won't open. The stealth game shipped with lighting so dark you can't see your own character. The Remotion video is rough. GLM 5.2 is faster than 5.1 and 10x cheaper than the frontier. But Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.5 are still in a different league for serious coding work. Chinese models keep missing the attention to detail that matters. I MISS FABLE 5 ALREADY. Full review live now.

Gemma 4 was fast but built a dot instead of a first person shooter game. GPT-OSS 120B was the sweet spot. Fast, capable, and actually produced working HTML. Open source models running locally are not replacing Claude Opus 4.6 or Codex with GPT 5.4. Not even close. But they're getting better every month. Ok it's done, you can play it at ✈️ I've never ever made a game before and just made my own flight simulator 100% with Cursor in I'd say 3 hours by just telling it what I wanted It didn't go 100% smooth ofc, but 80% yes, a few times I had to go back to previous versions and keep asking the same thing a few times to fix a problem But I love this AI vibe coding VERY FUN!!! 😁 (and yes the whole flight sim is one HTML file)

I just tried vibe-coding a Pac-Man game and it was insanely simple. I could code it from scratch, but that would take about 1 month. I've been spending more time with Bezi to see how far I can push vibe coding a game on the Unity Editor. So far, I'm pretty happy with what I can achieve with Bezi. Here are some learnings: - Even though I use Bezi to do all agentic coding, I still have to perform a few small manual tasks in the Unity Editor - As a result, I feel like I am getting a hang of Unity's complex and clunky UI, which actually feels good! - This is one of those examples where Vibe Coding is a great way to learn game dev. - For big features, I can't state the importance of asking the agent to create a plan first before implementing the feature. It can work wonders. Most of the bigger features/ssytems starts with a clear plan. - The biggest strength about working with Unity Engine is the Unity Asset Store, there's so much good stuff in there, 3D assets, shaders, vfx etc that can really spice up your game, that other game enginers will need to build from scratch. - Because Unity Assets Stores sell UI assets packs, I was able to implement decent looking UI fairly quickly. For those of you that vibe code games, you know how much of a pain it is to implement UI. - I did meet a few hiccups along the way where Bezi seems to struggle a little with implementing some features, but usually with some retries it works out at the end, though it burns a ton of tokens. I vibe coded a game called Aether Breach for my son today. Built the whole thing in about 2 hours using Cursor, Grok 4.5, and GPT Image 2.0. He gave it a try and really liked it. I just need to make Easy mode a bit more relaxed so he can make it to the later stages. The full game has DualSense support too. I published my WebHID DualSense npm package a few days ago, so adding controller support to new games is pretty straightforward now. Really happy with how it turned out.
