Most of the other interactions consisted of people connecting, then checking the resources on the server, and for applications like nvidia-smi. (Presumably to see if it can be used to mine crypto). Before disconnecting once they realised it had 1GB of RAM and 1vCPU.

The server has been configured to automatically record an established VNC session. It logs the IP address that connected and the time, then saves the recording into a folder that I pull down every few days. A snapshot of the VM is taken, which gets reverted once they disconnect.

I’m impressed they got the tar command switches in the first try. Also, as a DevOps/SRE, you get a follow just for making this whole scenario happen.

That’s cool. Always interesting to watch honeypots. I’m surprised they didn’t just bail when they seen ffmpeg x11grab, no shame in people these days.

With the launch of GLM 5.2 this week, I see everyone asking "have open models caught up to closed models?" The more interesting question that's getting missed: what can you do with an open model that you can't do with a closed one? You can specialize them. And when you do, the number of economically valuable tasks open models can do actually subsumes that of closed models. Charlie O'Neill explaining this:
