“i’ve been told that you've tried spending less time on your phone recently, which i believe is a very hard thing to do. what made you do it? and did it actually work?” 🆑: yeah, i am achieving that. then there's a balance to find, because it's also true that as soon as you are... you kind of feel a little bit disconnected on what's going around because today everybody is with a phone, and so there's a balance to find. i did two or three months, i think, without ever touching my phone apart from whatsapp when i was receiving messages and calls, and that was maybe a little bit extreme. so now maybe i'm trying to find a balance between the two because it's good to be up to date with what's going on around the world and to stay in touch with friends and funny moments. there's also lots of funny moments on social media and it part also of social interaction with friends and family. so there's a balance to find, but it is also true that it's a place where sometimes it can be a little bit toxic when you are in a position where people can kind of judge and say anything very, very easily. and they have the right to do so, but as a human being, you can also be affected by looking at those things. so it's a balance to find. i don't know if i found the perfect one, but for now it works for me, which is the most important.

Lynch has what I think is my favorite cameo of all time. Not just because of how perfect his brief performance is but because of how surreal it is that one of the greatest directors of all time is playing another of the greatest directors of all time in a movie by one of the greatest directors of all time. And also because he only request for doing the cameo was Cheetos. If I didn’t always understand him as a director, more than anything, I understood him as a Cheeto fiend and loved him as an actor and for being a genuine weirdo. Interviewer: Tony Kushner said that your only request was to have Cheetos in your dressing room. Is that a staple part of your diet? What specifically about Cheetos gets you through the day? Lynch: Well, Cheetos, number one, I love them. And any chance I can, I get them. But I know that they’re not exactly health food. So when I do leave the house and I get a chance to... But I don’t get them that often, honestly. If I do get them, I want a *big* bag. Because once you start... you need to have a lot before you could slow down and actually stop. It rained so much, and originally… This time, I really wanted to try this new production, even if it meant removing some of the dance parts to make it happen. I put a lot of effort into it. But the smoke from the fireworks didn’t come out well, and there were parts that didn’t work as planned. Because of the weather, there was no wind, so normally it would have dispersed well when it appeared… that was a bit disappointing. 🐥: At the same time, while I really wanted everyone to enjoy it, I also felt a lot of worry before going on stage today. As I said on stage, it was a bit burdensome and difficult. I wanted to see it go well even more than anything…I felt like I had to perform well and repay everyone’s waiting with a good performance. So I don’t think I went on stage with a completely light and carefree heart. So if the people who came were even a little happy, then I think that’s enough. Then I think I can relax a bit and feel that it went well’
