I love that Dave W Plummer is recreating his task manager as a cross-platform project, so the second he dropped the Linux beta binary, I packaged it up for the edge repo on Omarchy. Now you can tmog on Omarchy!

Closed source and a paid version is coming. This doesn’t feel like the spirit of Omarchy to me personally. I’m fine with paid software just feels weird in comparison to the other first party pieces you and other have made/bundled in. If it’s prebuilt in I know I can just customize/install as needed but it just seems odd

@davepl1968 What was the point of this Community Note? DHH said that it was a binary, it's in the edge repo, and also has stated in the past that Omarchy favors open-source but doesn't shy away from good closed-source software. And 2006 was 20 years ago. How does that apply to now?

@davepl1968 I don't care about the unsigned binary or who is writing it but I do think having a task manager I can't change and has a subscription pro version is a bad default.

@davepl1968 Ok, now Omarchy is growing on me... one "fix" i did apply was changing it so the icons near the date/time don't rearrange when toggled. That was super annoying.
