This little tiger lost his mother when he was still very young, so he ended up growing up around bears. After spending so much time with them, he seemed to think he was one of them too. But fitting in wasn’t always easy. Some of the bears would push him away or even steal his food, and the little tiger often found himself alone. There was one bear cub, though, who never treated him differently. The cub stayed close to him, played with him, and was always licking his ears like they were brothers. When the caretaker noticed the tiger being picked on, he decided to separate him from the bears and raise him on his own. But instead of becoming happier, the tiger seemed miserable. He stopped eating properly and even tried to escape, as if he was searching for the family he had grown up with. That’s when the caretaker realized just how much the tiger missed his little bear friend. As soon as the two were reunited, everything changed. The tiger was happy again, and his bear buddy immediately went back to licking his ears like nothing had happened. From that day on, they stayed together, growing up side by side, playing and exploring together. They may have been completely different animals, but to this tiger, that little bear wasn’t just his best friend. He was family.

wonbin’s childhood injury lore is actually insane 😭 apparently, wonbin’s mom raised him tough. he once injured his knee while exercising and had to wear a full leg cast, but even though his school and home were in completely opposite directions and quite far apart, he just walked home like that. in gyeongsang-do, unless you’re literally falling apart, you go anyway~ he knee got scraped up so badly that it had a hole in it and was bleeding, but they just told him, “go wash it and come back~” 😭 when he was little, about one-third of his left earlobe got torn, and they just treated it with fucidin. he even joked that this earlobe was basically made with fucidin. there was also a time when he was playing futsal with his friends in the middle of winter and hit his ear on a bent wire fence. his ear was bleeding profusely, but he was so scared that his parents would find out and scold him that, instead of going to the ER, he went to his friend’s house and treated it with some “white medicine,” “red medicine,” fucidin, and madecassol. he also once got a cut near the outer corner of his left eye. His P.E. teacher immediately covered his eye with a handkerchief, and that’s when he realized it was bleeding. but because he loved guitar so much and had an after-school guitar class, he just got it roughly treated at the nurse’s office and went to guitar class. even his lower back only hurts on the left side. everything is on the left. and when he was little, he once hurt the back of his right hand while playing. it bruised, but he was afraid his mom would find out and scold him, so he didn’t tell her. apparently, the tendon ended up sticking out / shifting out of place 😭

After he drank the ayahuasca… he felt himself sinking through all the geological strata of the Earth, and he told me… he had a total understanding of all of the processes that had laid them out through the eons. He ended up being propelled out the other side of the Earth and then floating through space for what he experienced as hundreds of years. He would focus on a distant planet and be transported there, and on each planet he would have an adventure and at the end there would be a lesson that he was supposed to remember. The last planet he visited, his mother was there. And she started passing through him, in and out of him again and again and every time she did that, he felt all these experiences of forgiveness, of love, of understanding, of comprehension, of empathy and compassion. When he came back from that trip, he was completely changed. He was very open about talking about his feelings, [but] the reason I really know that it changed him is he started taking out the garbage and doing the dishes. I have a friend who’s a Navy SEAL who had severe PTSD and he went to Costa Rica and had the same kind of experience. I have a couple of other friends who are in the NFL and they also had severe brain injuries and depression, and the same thing happened. So, my mind is open to the idea that there may be things that I don’t know about and that people ought to have the freedom and liberty to experiment with these things.”

RasulAllah (ﷺ) carried Him on His own forearms, and He was Crying then suddenly his crying turned into a Smile and He looked away. He went, RasulAllah (ﷺ) and buried Julaybeeb with His own Blessed hands, and They (Sahabahs) asked Him, O RasulAllah (ﷺ) why were you crying and then you were smiling and looked away? He said, I was Crying for the loss of my Dear family member Julaybeeb, no one cared about him but Me, and then Allah showed Me his place in Jannah, I saw His Soul in Jannah and there was one of His wives from the Hoor-al-Ayn running towards him (Julaybeeb), so I smiled that he finally got his wife which he wanted in Jannah and as she was running, the Heel of her leg showed, so I turned away I have no right to look at the wife of Julaybeeb. This Hadith is in Sahih Muslim and part of it is also in At-Tirmidhi, which is completely authentic.

Now, as the world prepares to revisit his life through a new film, we have a responsibility. Not to recycle the same narratives that once tried to tear him down, but to celebrate him properly. This is where understanding nuance becomes important. Mihawk’s relationship with the government is made very clear. He gains the benefits of being a warlord, and still does exactly what he wants. They did not even expect him to show up to the warlord meeting to begin with, and he makes it clear the only reason he did was because of his own personal interest. This relationship between Mihawks and the government is shown even better in the Live Action. Where Mihawk is kicking his feet up on a table while talking to his supposed “higher up” and the HERO of the Marines. Telling him he didn’t complete his mission. And the reason why? Because he didn’t want to. This entire scene he is literally talking down to Garp in a disrespectful tone. And this is one of the faces of the WG organization itself. Garp even tries to use the government excuse by telling Mihawk he works for them. And Mihawks response perfectly encapsulates his position as a Warlord “I would still do precisely as I want. No more and no less.” He does not have this position out of necessity, he uses it for his own quality of life. He was using the WG for his own benefit and they sat by and let him do it for years.
