I loved how the pirates shift between human and skeletal form under the moonlight whilst fighting in this scene, the CGI in this film is very impressive. Also Geoffrey Rush is just brilliant as Barbossa.

The Place Beyond The Pines is such a beautiful film- nearly every frame in this movie is picturesque. Culturally, I think this film flies under the radar a little, which might be because this is a long movie that meanders a little in the last third. But this film absolutely has its moments- including the very real on-screen chemistry between Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes.
