I don’t know what you’re getting at. If you have any better ideas, shoot. If the stock takes out the lows of the day that invalidates the opening range highs. This is for everyone asking how I get my levels. Million dollars worth of game... 1. Choose any time frame. 2. Draw levels at the high and low of the most recent candle after it’s closed. 3. Go to the projection tool and select long position. Click the top of the candle and drag to set your stop at the low of the candle and then set your risk to reward above to 1.5. 4. Go to the projection tool again and select short position… Click the bottom of the candle and drag your stop to the high of the candle and then set the risk to reward below to 1.5. 5. More often than not, if price is at the top of the candle, you really want to see a wick of the next candle take out the above liquidity to favor puts back down to the low of the candle and possibly to the set target… Vice versa if price is at the bottom of the candle, you want calls… Don’t diddle in the middle. Make sure the magnet tool is on if you want the levels to snap to the candle for more precision. Monthly candle - Daily candle for entry. Weekly candle - 4 hour candle for entry. Daily candle - Hourly or 15 min candle for entry. 4 hour candle - 15 min or 5 min candle for entry. Hourly candle - 3 to 5 min candle for entry. 10 min candle - 1 to 2 min candle for entry. That’s why we trade the breakout retest: Here’s the 4-steps to it: Step 1: Draw the box When price consolidates, I draw a box from the lowest point to the highest point. Then I wait. Step 2: Wait for the breakout I'm waiting for one thing: a big momentum candlestick that breaks out of the box. Ideally, this candle aligns with the higher timeframe trend. Step 3: Identify the imbalance That momentum candle creates a gap—the space between the low of the candle before the breakout and the high of the candle after. Step 4: Enter on the retest Price pulls back to retest that imbalance around 50%—fair value. When it does, I enter. Stop loss above the imbalance. Target 2-3R. Why this works: The market always moves from imbalance to balance to imbalance. That pullback after the breakout? It's the market seeking fair value before continuing. The stock bounced and pushed toward the 8-day moving average. It wasn’t a massive breakout, but it was a tradable move. The key lesson: if you caught the reversal, you trim into strength near the 8-day. Then you look for an inside range setup to potentially extend gains. 2. $NVDA Nvidia remains stuck in an annoying range. Now it’s sitting around $187. If it holds $186.76 and tightens up, you could buy weakness for a “red-to-green” move. Again, this is range trading — not trend trading. 3. $SNDK SanDisk offered a massive intraday opportunity yesterday — down 15 to up 15.
