I made a Claude Code skill that generates conference posters 🛠️ Instead of a static PDF, it outputs a single HTML file — drag to resize columns, swap sections, adjust fonts, then give your layout back to Claude. 🔁 🔗 Skill 👉

Used it for our Fillerbuster poster at 3DV 🎉 Overleaf source + project website + a reference poster I liked → interactive poster iteration → print to PDF 🤩 Let me know if you find it helpful! 🔗 🖼️

You can try out the interactive UI here -- Or clone the skill and try for your own poster! 😃

the iterative loop is so good... giving AI editable outputs instead of final files = way better results, fewer prompts

@JohnnyNel_ Very much agreed! I was really excited to try this idea out, and it ended up working very quickly after adding the resize and swap features. I feel everyone should have strong opinions & taste for their posters 😅 so finding a way to iterate with control is super important.

That's a catastrophically bad poster…

If you find something work (or work better than this), I’d love a DM with feedback or a link to any upgrade on the flow. Thanks for sharing it!

Fantastic work! I am working on an open source project for presentation generation, I will add poster generation capability to it inspired by your solution :) Attaching here short teaser presentation generated by Docent (I hope it is OK with you). Repo:

I’d been thinking about this flow a lot and was eager to try it out. I love building interfaces with humans in the loop. I made a human-in-the-loop tool for this project but that was before Claude Code took off, so likely ways to revamp going forward. 😅

really neat, closing the loop with editable html will teach models layout

The key insight here is "give the layout back to Claude." Most AI tools generate output and stop. You built a loop: AI → interactive → AI → interactive. That back-and-forth is what actually produces good work. Static generation just produces fast mediocrity.

Cool 😎. Would be great if project website as input is not a requirement.

Oh so true. Feel free to PR that change to the skill or modify on your end. Very good point! It can pull assets from the overleaf doc so for sure website isn’t necessary. Claude Code should still work when something is missing, but happy to improve on the prompting/plan. Thanks!

This is super cool! HTML is such a versatile output for these kinds of layout tools. 🐙

@jasonyi96 Does it take university or company or department templates as input?

Фото профиля Ethan Weber
Ethan Weber6 месяцев назад

@jasonyi96 Claude Code should be very flexible with what references you give it. It’s kind of just a conversation in the terminal. It will screenshot the reference templates and try to build the poster website accordingly, with your feedback along the way. Hope that helps explain it!

@jasonyi96 I should give this a shot with my last poster and template and see if it can build a better one. Hmm…
