chrome MCP is lowkey the most underrated part of claude code right now. being able to read from the actual browser instead of guessing at markup means it can match designs pixel for pixel. skills like this are just the beginning.

Ok - but how lame do you have to be to want to clone someone eases website? Have you now creativity at all?? lol

If this can work with Figma, that'd be a game changer. Unless there is one already, Anima has been working great for me but still needs a lot of tinkering and QAing to get stuff to align. Time that could be better spent on actual features, than closing gaps between devs and designers.

"clones any website perfectly" is a tool for building a portfolio site. it's also a tool for building a phishing site. the technical capability is identical. the only difference is intent and intent isn't something a skill file checks. every "clone any website in one prompt" tool is also a "create a pixel-perfect login page that steals credentials in one prompt" tool. the feature and the attack vector are the same product described by different people

i'd love to see the actual output, because 'perfectly' usually means it looks okay until you try to click anything

That's great, but most websites are copyrighted and may include trademarks. So Claude Code is basically engaging in criminal activity.

The Chrome MCP approach is clever but "perfectly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Static markup sure, but good luck cloning auth flows, websocket connections, and server-side rendering in one shot.
