I managed to fix and optimize the code quite a bit today... The gray area represents how much CPU is consumed per frame. If the entire screen turns gray, I fail at life.

An interesting fact about the Maximum Privacy Protection on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is that the screen turns gray when using Dark Mode 🧐 The viewing angle is improved but the colors are washed out... I think the better option is to lower the screen brightness 🤔

I learned how to use the GPU Profiler, and I was able to optimize the game enough that even I can play it at 100% resolution and around 60fps now! And that's with the screen recorder going too. Turns out there was a render target eating up about 20fps this whole time!

I have never seen the Baulks move as much as today, I think the marks on the frame are around 30cm apart (I will try and check this at the weekend) so I think they are moving up and down by around 1 metre in the waves. I don’t think I managed to get the most movement on a video.

And it works!!!!!!! 😍👌 Made a whole computer room from 1995 with Three.js on the web using Claude Code (on the server) in just a few hours I can connect to the internet and surf the web, play DOOM and mIRC and read the news, all in 3d now I like going super close to the screen and see the pixels I can't get blended occlusion to work yet though (so screen still shows as a perpetual overlay), maybe mrdoob knows how to fix And I have to figure out how to add that border-radius/distortion to the screen too But very nice progress for today 😊
