I must confess that until recently I had never heard of Phool Dei, a spring festival that was celebrated yesterday in the villages of Uttarakhand. Children gather fresh flowers from the hills and go from house to house placing them on doorsteps, offering a blessing for the household: “Phool... Dei, Chhamma Dei, Deni Dwar, Bhar Bhakar…” roughly wishing the home prosperity. In return they receive sweets. It reminded me a little of Halloween in the U.S., where children go door to door saying “trick or treat.” But what a lovely contrast. Here the children arrive not threatening a prank, or asking first, but giving first. Flowers. In an age when we speak so much about environmental consciousness, this graceful celebration of spring and nature deserves to be far more widely known. Just as Holi travelled across India and the world, perhaps Phool Dei should too. For me, the children of Uttarakhand are my #MondayMotivationshow more

War not only kills our children... war also leaves deep psychological traumas and wounds. I decided for myself that after the war, if I remain alive, I will devote my free time from work to our children. Rehabilitation of children, creation of scout and other children's camps where children can relax physically and mentally, be in nature and do other interesting things and leisure activities. Also, pay special attention to the return of all children deported by russian terrorists back home to Ukraine. Our children’s childhood was taken away from them... and I want them to receive maximum love and support from us after the war. Children are our future and our everything. Everything for them. And if in the future there are tears in the eyes of our children... then they should only be tears of joy. I saw a lot during the war. But there is something that I can never calmly perceive. And it will always tear me apart. It's when I see how children suffer or die. These angels should not suffer...never.

Children. Children. Children. The mass casualties on our screens. The mass casualties for all those in Gaza. The people who will feel this pain and grief like no other. And when people speak of innocent children, I know they mean well. But the word is simply: children. We should not have to explain to the world, that 4,5,6 year olds are innocent victims. There will never be a justification for the killing of a child. Ever.

Today we stood with the people of Chertsey, laying flowers for that poor two-year-old angel. We showed the community they are not alone, many of us have no choice but to stand up. That poor little girl was the same age as my own and she was ripped away in the most brutal way by a man who should never have been in this country. This is becoming far too common: men not born here committing horrific crimes against our women and children. Whether they come through the front door or not, they should never be here. Flowers and words are not enough. We honoured her today… but action is coming. We’ve had enough.

KHALISTAN: Radicalizing Children or Teaching Them to Exercise Their Freedom of Assembly? At first, I thought I was being asked not to include the children in the video, but no, it was the opposite. They want India to know that the next generation of Khalistanis are growing with determination in Canada. "Those that will bring their cameras here and show us as extremists and terrorists—even for them the question is—what is your motive at the end of the day?" A spokesperson from Guru Nanak Gurdwara questioned. Celebrating the assassination of India's PM, shouting slogans that are arguably an invitation to violence, and exposing little children to these highly questionable acts... Is it a portrayal of "false media" or is there some truth to it? What's motivation behind exposing children to these?

This dad sold his house and is the last to leave the home where he raised his family. He calls out the names of each of his children one more time as their names echo through the house. Closing a door for the last time on your family’s first house is such a sad feeling. I remember I had moved my family 4 hours away. I would go over to the house and was getting it ready for the sale, the last few boxes, cleaning the baseboards for the last time, on my hands and knees, I could hear my children’s little voices and laughter echo throughout the house. What a flood of memories. Excited for the new chapter but sad that one was closing. 💔 Have you ever experienced this feeling of selling the house you raised your family in? Do those memories come flooding in? Or, are you fortunate enough to still be living in the same house after all these years?

Now we truly have a global Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children – from Canada and Latin America, from the United States and Argentina, to Europe and Japan. Children come home. But many more still need to come home. We must clearly document where the children are, track the full chain of abduction and the cover-up of this crime, bring the children back, and help them find themselves again and return to normal life. None of this is easy. But it is good that our Bring Kids Back UA initiative is working. It is good that you are active – at the level of the European Commission, European institutions, international organizations, and the leadership of every country. And I am especially grateful to the First Ladies who help to secure the release of these children. All of this must continue. Our children are the FUTURE of the country, and we should be doing EVERYTHING we can to ensure that they have a foundational education that sets them up for SUCCESS!

DP Rigathi Gachagua: Why should the DP go to look for foreign investors when his own children can invest at home? Children of many other people I know hide their money in Dubai, they don’t want to invest here. What crime have the children of the DP committed by borrowing money from a bank to buy a hotel and spur tourism, create employment and spur business within the local environment? These boys are so demoralized asking me dad why didn’t you advise us that it is a crime to be your children, that we have no life of our own?

• We saw some parents reassuring their children that what was happening was just military training or fireworks, in order to protect them from anxiety. Some may disagree with me, but I believe that today's generation lives in an open world, with phones and social media in their hands revealing what is happening moment by moment. The idea is not to scare children, but to enhance their psychological security through age-appropriate honesty. Educational studies indicate that when children discover the truth later from external sources -such as the internet or friends - after being told something different, they may feel confused or lose some of their trust. Therefore, a calm and honest explanation promotes psychological stability and gives them a sense of security and confidence. It is important for children to learn the truth from their parents first, rather than receiving it from platforms that may be filled with misinformation or distorted narratives that reach them in a way that contradicts the truth. We must raise our children to be aware, not ignorant, and teach them from an early age who stands with their homeland and who attacks it, and make them understand the meaning of defending the homeland and the value of the sacrifices made to protect its security and stability. Strong nations are not built by military force alone, but by a conscious generation with a strong sense of belonging, who know the truth about who stands with their homeland and who is hostile to it, and who stand by it with conviction and pride. •

Since 2014 coup in Kiev , there have been reports of children going missing by the 100s and suspected child sex slavery and organ harvesting . In 2023, Ukrainian military were kidnapping children near the combat zones, civilians in Avdeevka and Bakhmut hide their kids from them: This was confirmed by the head of the Avdeevka Civil-Military Administration, Vitaly Barabash: -" they are really crazy... telling there are no kids in town, they were moved to the relatives. But not one of them gave us any proof of that... The police are going inside the house, mother and father are there, but not the child. They searched the entire building - nothing. So, they are hiding them. Therefore, we hide them or escape" "a house with a family was mysteriously shelled after a visit from the Ukrainian army evacuation team. The woman refused to leave with them and that night the house was hit, a 5 months old baby was killed." A similar story was told by a resident of Bakhmut where Ukrainian military kidnapped children to force the whole family to evacuate to Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces, together with the organizations "White Angel" and "Phoenix", forcibly took children out of Bakhmut in order to force their parents to evacuate to the territory of Ukraine. ◾This was told by Natalya Tkachenko, a local resident and mother of a 13-year-old girl. Children, according to her, were specially sought out, and in case of refusal to leave, they were taken away by force. - Therefore, we had a period when we simply hid our children. We hid them in cold apartments, hid at other addresses, in other basements, that is, not where they were registered or seen before. - If the car drove into the yard or appeared somewhere, the adults would quickly take the girls, go to other floors they had keys for, close them into cold apartments, and they sat still as a mouse until the cars left.
