The animal in the video is indeed a Japanese dwarf flying squirrel (Pteromys momonga). It has gliding membranes and a fluffy tail used for steering, unlike the bushier-tailed galago (bush baby), which doesn't glide. The tail might look slimmer in some clips due to angle or grooming, but it matches. Adorable little glider!

They made some movies about these things, they turn into green monsters if you feed them after midnight. Don't let their big cute ears and eyes fool you. They are of the Devil!

On the Angolan border in my army days, we had an African bush baby that slept by day in an army-boot and was passed from the one minder to the other. Problem is that they urinate on their hands to be able to jump and cling to surfaces which makes it a pet for the naive only.

It’s a bush baby from Africa, not a sugar glider (a marsupial) from Australia. Sugar gliders have a flap of extra skin on their side which allows them to glide from tree to tree or to the ground when escaping the 2M things that can kill it in Australia.
