I tested Fable 5.1 vs Kimi K3 vs GPT 5.6 Sol vs Gemini 3.8 Flash I capped Fable, Kimi & Sol at $2 and asked them to generate this beach scene. Fable 5.1: Looks good at first glance, but made many mistakes, like people sitting on the volleyball court. Kimi K3: It did well. There were no major bugs like in Fable 5.1, and everything looks good. Sol: Bad at 3D scenes as usual, but Astra will definitely fix that. Gemini 3.8 Flash: I ran it in a loop for 35+ mins and it cost $0.95. It didn’t understand what it was fixing. The output here is the enhanced version. IMO, not even Terra level. Gemini's benchmarks say Opus 5-level, but maybe not for spatial understanding. Gemini has other use cases. Which one did the best job?

For months, I've been quietly building a prototype of something just because I want it to exist. Papyrus is a word processor, editor, proofreader, fact-checker, deep researcher, brainstorming partner, all in one. It takes your rough draft and helps you skip three revisions. Now I'm considering pivoting my whole team to build it out, but first, I need your vote. You email is your vote. LINK IN COMMENTS. Or they're AI marketing slop toys that promise to read my mind and pump out garbage. They just don't get the real work of writing and they don't get me. I want a clean, focused space with a real AI co-pilot. I don't need it to do the all the writing for me, just like I don't need Claude Code to do all the code for me. I want to work with it. I want a writing partner that acts like a full writing team on-call 24X7: proofreading, fact-checking, and running deep research in the background while I focus on the hard parts. I'm tired of cutting and pasting between a dozen tools so I started writing this thing. But won't the big guys just build something like this? Sure. But it will just bolt your ass into their ecosystem. Google Docs will force Gemini on you. Whatever office suite OpenAI pumps out will only use GPT. I want to use any model. Open or closed. They're commodities. The app is the thing. I want the best tool for the job, GPT-5, Kimi, Qwen, Claude, whatever comes tomorrow. I want a fluid, flexible workspace. My whole company runs on skills I bundled into a GitHub repo. Here's how to build the same thing for your team: - Put your skills in a GitHub repo - Get Claude to write the couple of JSON files that make it readable as a plugin - In Claude Code, type /plugin, go to marketplaces, add marketplace, paste your repo URL - Split the plugins by department, so your copywriter isn't installing the finance skills It works in Codex too. I've got the same team skills installed there and I use them the same way. Now when I build something like my Notion formatting skill, I add it to the repo and it lands on everyone's Claude and Codex. If someone wrecks a skill, we roll it back to an older version. The key is enabling auto-update, so when someone improves a skill everyone benefits. I don't have a clue how the JSON works. I got Claude to set the whole thing up for me. It comes down to one test (ARC-AGI 3). It drops a model into a game with no instructions and makes it work them out. Astra solved levels in fewer moves than you or I would, 96% of the time. Claude Opus 5 managed less than half of that. That's why everyone is shouting about AGI again. You can turn this on yourself in about two minutes: 1. Open the ChatGPT desktop app, switch to Work. 2. 4. Don't go to an acdemic publisher's website with a billion-dollar annual revenue. But if you do, copy the DOI of the article you want to read. Next, go to Zotero and click on the magic wand-like button on the top. This will let you enter an article's DOI. Don't paste the DOI of the article you just copied because Sci Hub will go and retrieve that article and add it to your library. If you have downloaded this article, don't open it because then you will be able to read it.
