"I almost think you'd scare the public. If you put this out, like why are they telling me this? Should I be concerned about my bank? ...I would be careful about the unintended consequences of starting to blast too much of this out in the general public." — FDIC, Nov 9 2022

Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna argued to me that it’s the "decent" thing to do to allow illegal immigrant kids in our public schools. I pushed back to tell him why it’s I think it’s one of the most INDECENT things we can do. Who do you think was right about this? 🤔

“If I’m one of [Josh Allen’s] teammates, that kind of bothers me. I don’t like the fact that you have that type of autonomy... I don’t like the fact that it’s public.” Willie Colon explains why Allen being part of the hiring process muddies the waters in the locker room:

I’m now exploring the possibility that even though we may use the same grade of gas we normally do, that different gas stations have better gas than others. I always use 93 and I normally fill at the Marathon, on this tank I filled at the Circle K and I notice the gas mileage is worst even though it’s mostly highway miles. Is this something that’s widely known? I never thought of the possibility that it’s different but it does seem to be the case for me. It makes me wonder if it’s the brand of gas makes a difference like the grade of gas does. I would have thought it’s all the same but it’s looking like it’s not. Do you only go to a certain brand as well or do you feel this is all the same? With the gas prices being up a bit I think it’s worth looking into.

“It feels just absolutely batsh!t crazy to me that at this point in time, I say to my mother, have you heard about Minneapolis? Have you heard about Venezuela?” “And then I ask the question, does this change your opinion at all?” “And her response is, we’re not gonna talk about this, because if we do, you’ll tell me I can’t see the kids anymore.” Imagine being so far gone with TDS that you rob your kids the experience of having a grandma. I feel bad for her mother and those kids.

As Keir Starmer backs social media restrictions for under-16s, Freya India asks the question policymakers often overlook: What are the unintended consequences? “I love the sound of these policies,” she says. “But what are the unintended consequences?” In the rush to ban, regulate and restrict, this is the part of the conversation too many people skip.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: It has always been very strange that this technology is being built by a private company. People ask me that question all the time: "Why isn’t this being built by government?" And the strangest thing about it is I agree with them. I’m uncomfortable. The worry I have is that one single government could abuse this technology just as easily as a single company could. But I think a combination of democratically elected governments — I don’t know about handing over, but some kind of oversight, some kind of joint governance.

Emily Blunt on the relationship that taught her the most about who she is: "Sorry, John Krasinski, but it is our children because you do go through this complete awakening when you have kids. I know any parent will attest to the challenge of it, the beauty of it, that sort of reclamation of maybe who you really are. I don't think anybody sees you as purely as your children do or brings you back to earth like they do. So I find that to be the most kaleidoscopic experience of my life."

Most people that go to the gym cannot FATHOM taking 5+ minutes rest between sets This is of course b/c most people that go to the gym do NOT train hard enough to necessitate that long of a rest period Most gym goers have NEVER even thought about doing a rep that looks ANYWHERE NEAR as hard as these do: (This is EXACTLY why most people that go to the gym look the same every single year btw)

Video number 2 I do have to correct myself a bit again, I originally said all these videos have never been released, but some of you may be familiar with this case. This was filmed over Puerto Rico in 2013 near the Aguadilla US military base. Some of you may know it as the “split ufo” video as it goes into the ocean and comes back out and splits into two, but this view of it is a little more rare. It does not include the split. But it does show it flying with some very strange characteristics IMO. Is it changing shape? Spinning or flipping around? That part struck me as odd personally. You be the judge! Thanks.

Time to say goodbye, at least for now. I always thought the pursuit of competition at the highest level is what caused me to love the league… As this past season went on, I realized that it was the people, as much as the competition, that caused that. (1/2)

HIV researchers who have made the crossover to studying the coronavirus, say the similarities that emerged were unmistakable. Have you been infected? Your kids? What are you doing about all this? This is happening stop pretending it’s not. It’s unhealthy

I think the thing I love most about The Sopranos are moments like this- it’s just guys being dudes, shooting the shit. The brilliance of The Sopranos is that this show makes me feel like I personally know the entire crew. There will never be another.

For the most part, I agree with this video. However, everybody needs to let go of the 10,000 space lasers thing. We are sitting back and waiting on that. But the most important thing is the coordinated messaging. It’s a psychological weapon being used against you.

Bret Weintein asks "what is this all really for?" "If you look at the push towards tokenization of assets, towards central bank digital currencies—that is programmable money that can be turned off if you displease the powers that be. If you look at the creation of these massive data centers, is that really about citizen use of AI? Maybe some of it is, but is it really about creating a storehouse of information that will allow you to be controlled and locked down? That’s certainly the impression I have. We didn’t have a discussion about any of this. This is happening, and then we have to react to it because it’s all on a freight train headed down the line… and we’re always playing defense. So it’s pretty frightening stuff. And at some level, we have a moral right to object. We’re not being given the opportunity to object..."
