I’ve had both hips replaced this way. Really cool watching this. Thank you for the post. My hips never felt better!

I’ve had it done. I had hip pane my entire life(I was born with hip dysplasia). Now I have no pain and forget it is fake hip in there. They did a spinal block and gave me loopy meds so you don’t feel anything but aren’t completely knocked out either

I had this done! . I’m 4 weeks post Op and moving very well with minimal discomfort. The procedure relieved my hip pain. So, it was definitely worth it.

My dad did this last week. It’s actually not bad. He was able to walk after the next day. Slowly walking but I didn’t have to carry his ass in the house like I thought. He can walk around house decent after a week. Every one says it takes 2-3 weeks and you’re good.

Severe arthritis left me no choice. I had both hips replaced and I was sorry I put the surgery off for so long. — Left hip done in August. It took a little over an hour and I was up two hours later walking the hospital hallway with no pain. — Right hip done six months later. It took about 45 minutes. I was up walking the hallway two hours after the surgery. For each hip replacement the surgery was performed early in the morning around 6:30am. I went home the same day by 3pm. God is good. He guided the surgeons hands and led me to quick recoveries. That was three years ago and I’m still moving along nicely with no hip pain. All praise and glory goes to Jesus.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hip isn’t bad, easiest of all replacements. I had both of my knees replaced at 45. That was rough. But I heard shoulder replacement was extremely painful.

It’s better I stay with a damaged HIP than this 😭

I put a hip replacement off for over a year. When I couldn’t walk I had no choice. I was like new immediately. No pain what-so-ever. Rehab therapist wondered why she even bothered coming. Best thing I ever did.

One of the hardest things I’ve had to make myself do was allow that surgeon to chop up my hip and install metal parts. I was terrified but in so much pain I had lost the will to live. At that point I had no choice. The result is amazing, gave me back my life.

One of most complicated surgeries is bones or joints replacement 😩😥😢 the recovery period takes long time to heal 😓

I’ve had both hips, both knees, and my right shoulder replaced. All this has enabled me to remain active and enjoy a pain free life. Recovery and rehab is miserable, but the end results were well worth it.

Friend just had both sides replaced and both knees after 35 year of construction. He did it to keep working but still hasn't made it back to work yet.

I broke my femur years ago in a motorcycle accident, also hairline fractures on my hip, I received a titanium rod inside my femur bone and screws in my hip and leg. 6 hour + surgery. And before the surgery they had to install a Steinmann pin through my shin for traction to get the femur realigned where the break was. 4 days of traction before surgery. 😬

Much less pain than you'd think. The knee replacement is another story. Thats rough.

It’s not as bad as it looks, my brother had it done in his early 30s & was up walking within a few days.

This surgery is tried and true. One of the most iron clad in medical history. Don’t be a bitch if you need it then you need it.

I have two daughters that had this done - they are both still in pain and the doctors won’t do anything to help. Crappy doctor o guess- my hip hurts and I will just have to live with it.

A miracle for me. When you cannot walk or spend a moment pain free, this represents a new chance at living a normal life.

Knee surgery is worse. You'll be up in a few days with a hip surgery compared to knee.

This looks painful, I have osteoarthritis and I’m dealing with left hip pain. The orthopedic spoke to me about this, but I’m trying to go as far as i can to avoid this type of surgery. I wonder how long is the recovery and when you’re able to go back to the gym after this

If you ever endure the pain of bone-on-bone arthritis, or face using a walker or even a wheel chair the rest of your life, you will CELEBRATE the medical advances that allow front-entry hip replacement.

Some people naturally handle pain better than others •The same surgery can feel “mild” to one person and “severe” to another
