So we built our preview to give some of that control back: edit the file as text or pick colors visually, and the two stay in sync. I do think it’s worth posting to sort of note the reality of the situation and that it’s happening... No matter how wealthy or white or pretty you are, you’re excluded. I don’t give a fuck that they put an ‘M’ on my passport. It doesn’t change really anything about me or my transness, however, it does make life a little harder. Anything else is sex-based discrimination of young female schoolchildren, and it's sexist, regressive, and illegal. Sex-based discrimination cannot continue in our schools, and we believe the solution is inclusive and progressive. Testimony in Augusta on 4/14/26 made it clear that: 🚨 Males are in female private spaces (bathrooms and locker rooms), every day. This is commonplace 🚨 Males have been reported to be masturbating in female safe spaces at school (as testified by school children and parents) 🚨 Males have won female state championships even last year, and continue to play in female sports across the state 🚨 Young female students stay quiet and are scared to bring this up, as adults have made them feel as if THEY are the problem for not being OK with males in their safe spaces and their sports The ballot referendum to "Designate School Sports Participation & Facilities by Sex" protects the Sex-based Civil Rights of ALL kids: ✅ The act designates all competitive school sports and safe spaces (bathrooms, locker rooms, showers) by Sex. ✅ Sex is not Gender (definitionally, legally, scientifically) ✅ The act respects Gender Identity while recognizing biological fact, designating all competitive sports and private spaces in public schools by innate, immutable Sex. Every human has a Sex (Sex includes ALL identities)! ✅ We have the progressive belief that there is no right or wrong way to be a male or female! Dress, feel, present, identify how you want. Sex is big enough for everyone. ✅ Nobody is banned. Ever. Everyone plays sports and accesses private spaces, simply designated by Sex.

I’ve had quite a few people ask about how I use the black and white underpainting in my process. Here’s a short timelapse video showing part of the color pas over ‘Chrysalis’. I don’t always use an underpainting, but when I do, I use it to work out the overall values and lighting…especially useful when large areas of the painting are invented…such as the entire background and landscape of this painting. Then I make the color pass in pass in opaque oil and use the underpainting as a value guide…free to focus entirely on the color.

NSW Premier Chris Minns is either ignorant about the reality of his own laws and policies – or hoping the public won’t notice the contradiction 🤨 💬 Minns says NSW law must uphold the biological differences between people “born male” and “born female”. Premier, they’re called men and women. 💬 And saying NSW “won’t change the law” on female sport and women’s prisons misses the point: the law has already changed. The NSW Labor Government helped usher in sex self-ID, allowing men to change their legal sex to female – and now the Premier is insisting women’s sports and spaces will somehow remain protected. How? If a man can legally become “female”, how exactly will he be stopped from entering women’s sport, prisons, bathrooms, changerooms, refuges or other female-only spaces? In NSW, male athletes who identify as women are already competing in female sport. Male offenders who identify as women have already been housed in women’s prisons – and despite representations from the Government to the contrary, its latest policy STILL allows this. Minns’ sentiment is welcome. And it’s great to see a Labor leader finally acknowledge biological reality.
