not to sound too corny but your talking about who you give the quilts to, why you make them and the love involved brought real tears to my eyes. you have a wonderful heart. different note i had no idea that thread or fabric were that expensive!!!!! holy crap!!!!!

It’s so expensive. I tried to use a cheaper thread on this last quilt and I promise to never do that again! Lol

Pristine, how many hours does it take to make a quilt?

It depends on the quilt and how many pieces there are. This last quilt I put 24 hours into it and I needed another 3 hours more to complete it.

If someone gave me a quilt that they made for me I would cherish it. I still have the one that my grandmother made for me, well over 30 years ago.

Even using a machine, quilting is time and labor intensive. My grandmother made quilts, by hand, using scraps. Some were pretty, others ugly. But all were warm. We did not appreciate them until the college years. My sister and I still have our quilts, and they get used.

That’s ok, we love your rambling, also, are any of your quilting supplies on your Amazon wishlist or no?

I’m well stocked in the area of quilting. 😅 Thank you for asking!
